أدان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، بأشدِّ العبارات، الهجمات الإيرانية التي استهدفت مملكة البحرين ودولة الكويت والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وما تضمنته من اعتداءات على البنى التحتية والمنشآت الحيوية، التي أسفرت عن إصابة عددٍ من أفراد القوات المسلحة في دولة الكويت.
وأكد الأمين العام أن ما قامت به إيران يمثّل تصعيداً خطيراً وغير مسبوق، ويعكس إصراراً واضحاً على خرق القواعد والأعراف الدولية، في تجاهل تامّ لعواقب دفع المنطقة نحو مزيد من التوتر وعدم الاستقرار. وأشار إلى أن استهداف البنى التحتية والمنشآت الحيوية لا يهدد الدول المستهدفة فحسب، بل يمسّ أمن المنطقة بأسرها بصورة مباشرة، مطالباً المجتمع الدولي باتخاذ خطوات عملية ورادعة لوقف الاعتداءات الإيرانية المتكررة ومحاسبة المسؤولين عنها، بما يحفظ الأمن والسلم الإقليميين ويمنع انزلاق المنطقة إلى مزيد من التصعيد.
وشدد البديوي على وقوف مجلس التعاون صفاً واحداً مع البحرين والكويت والأردن، ودعمه الكامل لجميع الإجراءات التي تتخذها لحماية أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها، معرباً عن تمنياته بالشفاء العاجل للمصابين من منتسبي القوات المسلحة في دولة الكويت.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which involved assaults on infrastructure and vital facilities, resulting in injuries to several members of the armed forces in the State of Kuwait.
The Secretary-General affirmed that Iran's actions represent a serious and unprecedented escalation, reflecting a clear determination to violate international rules and norms, with a complete disregard for the consequences of pushing the region towards further tension and instability. He pointed out that targeting infrastructure and vital facilities not only threatens the targeted countries but also directly affects the security of the entire region, calling on the international community to take practical and deterrent steps to stop the repeated Iranian assaults and hold those responsible accountable, in order to preserve regional security and peace and prevent the region from sliding into further escalation.
Al-Budaiwi emphasized the solidarity of the Gulf Cooperation Council with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, and its full support for all measures taken to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured members of the armed forces in the State of Kuwait.
