أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، أن الولايات المتحدة ستدمّر بالكامل قدرات إيران الصاروخية والطائرات المسيّرة خلال يومين، مؤكدًا رفضه إبرام اتفاق مع طهران لإنهاء الحرب رغم استعدادها للتفاوض.
وفي مقابلة مع NBC News، أوضح ترمب أن الضربات الأمريكية استهدفت نحو 90 هدفًا عسكريًا، مشيرًا إلى أن الهجوم على جزيرة خرج دمّر معظم الجزيرة الاستراتيجية.
وأضاف أن واشنطن تعمل مع عدة دول لتأمين مضيق هرمز، مع احتمال مشاركة قوى دولية في حماية الممر البحري الحيوي.
كما أثار تساؤلات حول مصير المرشد الإيراني الجديد مجتبى خامنئي، قائلًا إنه لا يعلم إن كان ما يزال على قيد الحياة، داعيًا إياه إلى «اتخاذ قرار ذكي والاستسلام».

He also raised questions about the fate of the new Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei, saying he does not know if he is still alive, urging him to "make a smart decision and surrender."
