فيما تواصل السلطات السورية حملتها ضد تنظم «داعش» الإرهابي، أعلن قائد الأمن الداخلي في ريف دمشق العميد أحمد الدالاتي، اليوم(الأحد)، تنفيذ عملية أمنية مشتركة مع أمن درعا في منطقة قدسيا.
وأفاد بأن العملية أسفرت عن توقيف 5 أشخاص بتهمة تهريب أسلحة لصالح مجموعات خارجة عن القانون في السويداء ومناطق قوات سورية الديمقراطية (قسد) قسد، وخلايا مرتبطة بتنظيم «داعش».
مصادرة مضبوطات وإحالة موقوفين
وأفاد بأن العملية جاءت بناء على معلومات دقيقة، وشملت ضبط طائرات مسيّرة، وطن ونصف طن من متفجرات «تي إن تي»، وعبوات ناسفة مضادة للأفراد، يبلغ وزن كل منها 2 كيلوغرام، كانت معدّة للاستخدام في هجمات بالمسيرات.
ولفت قائد الأمن الداخلي في ريف دمشق إلى المعتقلين الخمسة بحروف أسمائهم: «إ.ث»، و«أ.ن»، و«م.ن»، و«م.ف»، و«ج.ه»، موضحا أن قوة أمنية تحركت إلى الموقع المستهدف وفرضت طوقاً محكماً حوله، قبل تنفيذ المداهمة. وأكد الدالاتي مصادرة المضبوطات وإحالة الموقوفين إلى الجهات المختصة لاستكمال التحقيقات.
واشنطن تلاحث الدواعش
في غضون ذلك، رجّح مسؤولان أمريكيان، استمرار ضربات واشنطن التي تستهدف مواقع لتنظيم داعش داخل الأراضي السورية لعدة أسابيع، مع احتمال امتدادها إلى نحو شهر.
وأوضح أحد المسؤولين لشبكة «إن بي سي» التلفزيونية، أن الهدف من العملية هو ضرب المناطق التي يحاول تنظيم داعش إعادة تنظيم صفوفه فيها، بهدف تفكيك قدراته واستئصال عناصره وتدمير بنيته العسكرية على نطاق واسع.
وأضاف أن الجيش الأمريكي استخدم في العملية طائرات A-10 وF-16 ومروحيات أباتشي، إضافة إلى منظومة هيمارس (HIMARS)، فيما شاركت طائرات «F-16» أردنية بتقديم دعم جوي للعملية.
وأعلنت قوات القيادة المركزية الأمريكية، أنها شنت غارات جوية على أكثر من 70 هدفًا متفرقة في وسط سورية، باستخدام طائرات مقاتلة ومروحيات هجومية ومدفعية. وأوضحت أن الغارت استهدفت الضربات مواقع البنية التحتية ومستودعات أسلحة تابعة لتنظيم داعش باستخدام أكثر من 100 قذيفة دقيقة.
As the Syrian authorities continue their campaign against the terrorist organization "ISIS," the head of internal security in the Damascus countryside, Brigadier General Ahmad al-Dalati, announced today (Sunday) the execution of a joint security operation with the security forces of Daraa in the Qudsaya area.
He reported that the operation resulted in the arrest of 5 individuals on charges of smuggling weapons for the benefit of lawless groups in Sweida and areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), as well as cells linked to the "ISIS" organization.
Seizure of Contraband and Referral of Detainees
The operation was based on accurate information and included the seizure of drones, one and a half tons of "TNT" explosives, and anti-personnel explosive devices, each weighing 2 kilograms, which were prepared for use in drone attacks.
Brigadier General al-Dalati pointed out the five detainees by the initials of their names: "E. Th," "A. N," "M. N," "M. F," and "J. H," explaining that a security force moved to the targeted site and imposed a tight cordon around it before executing the raid. Al-Dalati confirmed the seizure of the contraband and the referral of the detainees to the relevant authorities to continue the investigations.
Washington Pursues ISIS
Meanwhile, two American officials suggested that Washington's strikes targeting ISIS positions within Syrian territory would continue for several weeks, with the possibility of extending to about a month.
One of the officials explained to NBC News that the aim of the operation is to strike the areas where ISIS is trying to reorganize itself, with the goal of dismantling its capabilities, eradicating its elements, and broadly destroying its military structure.
He added that the U.S. military used A-10 and F-16 aircraft, as well as Apache helicopters, in the operation, while Jordanian "F-16" aircraft participated in providing air support for the operation.
The U.S. Central Command announced that it had launched airstrikes on more than 70 scattered targets in central Syria, using fighter jets, attack helicopters, and artillery. It clarified that the strikes targeted infrastructure sites and weapons depots belonging to ISIS using more than 100 precision munitions.
