شارك وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، مساء أمس (الأحد)، في الاجتماع التنسيقي لوزراء خارجية دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، قبيل انطلاق أعمال الأسبوع رفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك.
وشارك في الاجتماع وزراء دول مجلس التعاون، والأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، وبحث الاجتماع سبل تعزيز مسيرة التعاون والتنسيق المشترك، إضافة إلى مناقشة مستجدات الأوضاع في منطقة الخليج.
وجدد الوزراء التضامن التام مع دولة قطر ودعمها الكامل لكل ما من شأنه حماية أمنها والمحافظة على سيادتها.
كما بحث الاجتماع آخر التطورات على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية، والجهود المبذولة بشأنها، كما تطرق الاجتماع إلى أهمية تعزيز التعاون مع المنظمات الدولية بما يعزز الأمن والسلم الدوليين.
حضر الاجتماع، وكيل وزارة الخارجية للشؤون الدولية المتعددة المشرف العام على وكالة الوزارة لشؤون الدبلوماسية العامة الدكتور عبدالرحمن الرسي.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated yesterday evening (Sunday) in the coordination meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, ahead of the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and it discussed ways to enhance the cooperation and joint coordination process, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the Gulf region.
The ministers reiterated their full solidarity with the State of Qatar and their complete support for all that would protect its security and maintain its sovereignty.
The meeting also examined the latest developments on both the regional and international fronts and the efforts being made in this regard, as well as addressing the importance of enhancing cooperation with international organizations to promote international security and peace.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and the General Supervisor of the Ministry's Public Diplomacy Agency, attended the meeting.
