حذرت شبكة أطباء السودان، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، من كارثة إنسانية تهدد مدينة الفاشر بولاية شمال دارفور غرب البلاد، بسبب تدهور الوضع الصحي في المستشفيات، نتيجة انعدام الدواء والمستلزمات الطبية الضرورية لإنقاذ المرضى.
وأعلنت الشبكة في بيان على صفحتها بموقع «فيسبوك»، أنها تتابع بقلق بالغ الوضع الصحي في مدينة الفاشر، إذ يواجه آلاف المواطنين خطر الموت بسبب النقص التام في الأدوية الأساسية والمنقذة للحياة، وسط تزايد مستمر للحالات المرضية والإصابات، وعجز الكوادر الطبية عن تلبية احتياجات المرضى.
ودعت الشبكة في نداء عاجل إلى سرعة توفير الأدوية الضرورية، خصوصاً علاجات الأمراض المزمنة، والمضادات الحيوية، وأدوية الطوارئ المنقذة للحياة، مؤكدة أن استمرار هذا الوضع ينذر بكارثة إنسانية وشيكة بسبب نقص الدواء.
وطالبت بتدخل فوري وعاجل من المنظمات الإنسانية الدولية والإقليمية، بالتنسيق مع السلطات المحلية، لتوفير الأدوية والمستلزمات الطبية، وفتح ممرات إنسانية آمنة لإيصال الإمدادات الطبية دون عوائق، إضافة إلى دعم الكوادر الطبية العاملة في ظروف قاسية وبإمكانات شبه معدومة.
وحملت شبكة أطباء السودان قوات الدعم السريع المسؤولية الكاملة عن نقص الإمدادات الطبية وما ينتج عن هذا الوضع من وفيات ومعاناة إنسانية بسبب الحصار المفروض على المدينة، وفق البيان. وطالبت السلطات الصحية بالتدخل والتنسيق مع المنظمات الأممية لتوفير المساعدات الطبية والغذاء بشكل عاجل لإنقاذ المدنيين العزل بمدينة الفاشر.
يذكر أن قوات الدعم السريع تحاصر منطقة الفاشر منذ مايو 2024، وهي آخر مدينة رئيسية في شمال دارفور لا تزال تحت سيطرة الجيش السوداني.
وأسفرت الحرب بين قوات الجيش بقيادة عبدالفتاح البرهان والدعم السريع بقيادة نائبه السابق محمد حمدان دقلو، والمستمرة منذ أبريل 2023، عن مقتل عشرات الآلاف، ونزوح أكثر من 13 مليون شخص داخل البلاد وخارجها.

The Sudan Doctors Network warned today (Tuesday) of a humanitarian disaster threatening the city of El Fasher in North Darfur state, western Sudan, due to the deterioration of the health situation in hospitals, resulting from the lack of essential medicines and medical supplies needed to save patients.
The network announced in a statement on its Facebook page that it is following the health situation in El Fasher with great concern, as thousands of citizens face the risk of death due to the complete shortage of essential and life-saving medications, amid a continuous increase in illness and injury cases, and the inability of medical staff to meet the needs of patients.
The network called in an urgent appeal for the rapid provision of necessary medicines, especially treatments for chronic diseases, antibiotics, and life-saving emergency medications, emphasizing that the continuation of this situation heralds an imminent humanitarian disaster due to the lack of medicine.
It demanded immediate and urgent intervention from international and regional humanitarian organizations, in coordination with local authorities, to provide medicines and medical supplies, and to open safe humanitarian corridors to deliver medical supplies without obstacles, in addition to supporting medical staff working under harsh conditions with almost no resources.
The Sudan Doctors Network held the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for the shortage of medical supplies and the resulting deaths and humanitarian suffering due to the siege imposed on the city, according to the statement. It called on health authorities to intervene and coordinate with UN organizations to urgently provide medical and food assistance to save the unarmed civilians in El Fasher.
It is worth noting that the Rapid Support Forces have besieged the El Fasher area since May 2024, which is the last major city in North Darfur still under the control of the Sudanese army.
The war between the army forces led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by his former deputy Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, which has been ongoing since April 2023, has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands and the displacement of more than 13 million people both internally and externally.
