دعت مصر اليوم (الأحد) إلى تشكيل لجنة لإدارة غزة مؤقتاً، تمهيداً لعودة السلطة الفلسطينية إلى القطاع، مشددة خلال استقبال وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي، رئيس الوزراء الفلسطيني محمد مصطفى على ضرورة دعم الشعب الفلسطيني لإقامة دولته المستقلة.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية المصرية السفير تميم خلاف، أن عبدالعاطي أكد على الحاجة المُلحة لاستمرار حشد الدعم الدولي لتنفيذ الخطة العربية لإعادة إعمار غزة، وما تضمنته من متطلبات للتعافي المبكر، وإعادة بناء البنية التحتية، واستعادة كافة سبل الحياة، تمهيداً لإعادة بناء القطاع وتنميته، مستعرضاً الاستعدادات الجارية لعقد مؤتمر القاهرة للتعافي المبكر وإعادة الإعمار بعد التوصل لوقف إطلاق النار.
وأشار خلاف إلى أن عبدالعاطي ومصطفى ناقشا الترتيبات التفصيلية الخاصة بالمؤتمر، مبيناً أن وزير الخارجية المصري أكد حرص بلاده على دعم الشعب الفلسطيني لحصوله على حقوقه المشروعة وإقامة دولته المستقلة.
واستعرض الجانبان مستجدات الوساطة المصرية والجهود المبذولة للتوصل لوقف إطلاق النار.
وشدد عبدالعاطي على موقف مصر الرافض لتهجير الشعب الفلسطيني من أرضه، وسياسة التجويع والحصار التي ينتهجها الجانب الإسرائيلي في قطاع غزة، مؤكداً دعم مصر للسلطة الفلسطينية وضرورة تمكينها من أداء دورها في قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية.
وشدد على أهمية العمل على تفعيل اللجنة المعنية بإدارة غزة بشكل مؤقت، تمهيداً لعودة السلطة الفلسطينية للقطاع بشكل كامل.
ودعا وزير الخارجية المصري إلى ضرورة تقديم الدعم اللازم للجانب الفلسطيني لاستعادة الأمن والنظام في القطاع، من خلال تدريب عناصر الشرطة الفلسطينية لسد الفراغ الأمني في غزة.
Egypt called today (Sunday) for the formation of a committee to temporarily manage Gaza, in preparation for the return of the Palestinian Authority to the sector, emphasizing during the reception of Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, the necessity of supporting the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khlaaf, explained that Abdelatty emphasized the urgent need to continue rallying international support to implement the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, which includes requirements for early recovery, rebuilding infrastructure, and restoring all means of livelihood, in preparation for rebuilding and developing the sector, reviewing the ongoing preparations for holding the Cairo Conference for early recovery and reconstruction after reaching a ceasefire.
Khlaaf pointed out that Abdelatty and Mustafa discussed the detailed arrangements for the conference, indicating that the Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed his country's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in obtaining their legitimate rights and establishing their independent state.
Both sides reviewed the developments in the Egyptian mediation and the efforts made to reach a ceasefire.
Abdelatty stressed Egypt's position rejecting the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, and the policy of starvation and blockade pursued by the Israeli side in the Gaza Strip, affirming Egypt's support for the Palestinian Authority and the necessity of empowering it to perform its role in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
He emphasized the importance of working to activate the committee concerned with the temporary management of Gaza, in preparation for the complete return of the Palestinian Authority to the sector.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister called for the necessary support to be provided to the Palestinian side to restore security and order in the sector, through training Palestinian police forces to fill the security vacuum in Gaza.
