بحضور رئيس الوزراء إدريس كمال، أدى وزيرا الدفاع والداخلية الجديدان في السودان، اليمين أمام رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي عبدالفتاح البرهان، اليوم (السبت).
وأصدر إدريس هذا الأسبوع، قراراً بتعيين الفريق حسن داؤود كيان وزيراً للدفاع، والفريق شرطة بابكر سمرة مصطفى وزيراً للداخلية.
وحضر مراسم أداء القسم الأمين العام لمجلس السيادة الفريق الركن محمد الغالي علي يوسف، ورئيس الجهاز القضائي بولاية البحر الأحمر ممثلاً لرئيس القضاء.
وقال بيان صادر عن مجلس السيادة الانتقالي، إن وزير الدفاع الجديد عبّر في تصريحات عن تقديره العميق لقيادة الدولة على الثقة التي أولتها له بتكليفه وزيراً للدفاع، مضيفاً أن البلاد تمر بظروف صعبة تتطلب وحدة الصف للحفاظ على وحدة أراضي السودان.
وأكد وزير الدفاع الجديد حرصه على تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والسلام والدفاع عن سيادة السودان، وقال: «سنعمل بالتنسيق والتعاون مع أجهزة الدولة المختلفة على تحقيق أهداف السودان العليا وتلبية تطلعات الشعب السوداني».
وطمأن الشعب السوداني بأننا «سنكون يداً أمينة على وحدة البلاد وسنسعى لتحقيق حكم السودان بالقانون ومحاسبة كل من يقصر فى مهامه»، مشدداً على أهمية وحدة الصف الوطني لبناء السودان. ونوه وزير الدفاع بتضحيات وبسالة القوات المسلحة والقوات المشتركة والمستنفرين والمقاومة الشعبية للذود عن حياض الوطن وترابه ووحدته وسيادته. وشدد على ضرورة تحقيق السلام والأمن والاستقرار لإحداث التنمية المنشودة، مؤكداً أن القوات المسلحة ستعمل على سد الثغرات وحماية الاقتصاد السوداني والمحافظة على مكتسبات البلاد.
من جانبه، لفت وزير الداخلية إلى أن السودان يمر بتحديات أمنية، مؤكداً قدرة الدولة على تجاوزها. وأشاد بالانتصارات التي حققتها القوات المسلحة والقوات المساندة لها، مضيفاً أن «القوات المسلحة قادرة على تحقيق النصر».
In the presence of Prime Minister Idris Kamal, the new Ministers of Defense and Interior in Sudan took the oath before the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, today (Saturday).
Idris issued a decision this week appointing Lieutenant General Hassan Dawood Kayan as Minister of Defense and Police Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa as Minister of Interior.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Ghali Ali Youssef, and the head of the judiciary in the Red Sea State representing the Chief Justice.
A statement issued by the Transitional Sovereignty Council indicated that the new Minister of Defense expressed in statements his deep appreciation to the state's leadership for the trust they placed in him by appointing him as Minister of Defense, adding that the country is going through difficult circumstances that require unity to maintain the territorial integrity of Sudan.
The new Minister of Defense affirmed his commitment to achieving security, stability, peace, and defending Sudan's sovereignty, saying: "We will work in coordination and cooperation with various state apparatuses to achieve Sudan's higher goals and meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people."
He reassured the Sudanese people that "we will be a trustworthy hand on the unity of the country and will strive to achieve governance in Sudan based on the law and hold accountable anyone who falls short in their duties," emphasizing the importance of national unity to build Sudan. The Minister of Defense noted the sacrifices and bravery of the armed forces, joint forces, mobilized forces, and popular resistance in defending the homeland, its soil, unity, and sovereignty. He stressed the necessity of achieving peace, security, and stability to bring about the desired development, affirming that the armed forces will work to close gaps, protect the Sudanese economy, and preserve the country's gains.
For his part, the Minister of Interior pointed out that Sudan is facing security challenges, affirming the state's ability to overcome them. He praised the victories achieved by the armed forces and their supporting forces, adding that "the armed forces are capable of achieving victory."
