كشف الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تفاصيل مكالمة هاتفية أجراها مع نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، واستمرت ساعة و15 دقيقة، تناولت التصعيد العسكري في أوكرانيا والملف النووي الإيراني.
وقال ترمب، في منشور له على منصة «تروث سوشال»، إن المحادثة مع بوتين كانت «جيدة»، لكنها «ليست من النوع الذي سيقود إلى سلام فوري»، مشيراً إلى أن الرئيس الروسي أعرب بشدة عن عزمه الرد على الهجمات الأوكرانية الأخيرة التي استهدفت طائرات عسكرية روسية.
وأضاف ترمب أنه ناقش مع بوتين الملف الإيراني، إذ شدد على أن الوقت «ينفد» فيما يتعلق باتخاذ طهران قرارها النهائي بشأن امتلاك سلاح نووي.
وأوضح أنه أبلغ بوتين بوضوح أن «إيران لا يمكن أن تمتلك سلاحاً نووياً»، مؤكداً أن بوتين وافقه الرأي في هذه النقطة.
وأشار ترمب إلى أن بوتين أعرب عن استعداده للمشاركة في المحادثات مع إيران، وربما لعب دور في تسريع التوصل إلى حل، فيما عبّر ترمب عن قلقه من «تباطؤ» إيران في اتخاذ قرار حاسم بشأن هذا الملف.
واختتم ترمب بالقول إن «إجابة نهائية من إيران ستكون مطلوبة قريباً جدّاً»، في إشارة إلى تزايد الضغوط الدبلوماسية حول هذا الملف.
U.S. President Donald Trump revealed details of a phone call he had with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, which lasted for an hour and 15 minutes, discussing the military escalation in Ukraine and the Iranian nuclear file.
Trump stated in a post on the "Truth Social" platform that the conversation with Putin was "good," but it was "not the kind that will lead to immediate peace," noting that the Russian president strongly expressed his intention to respond to recent Ukrainian attacks that targeted Russian military aircraft.
He added that he discussed the Iranian file with Putin, emphasizing that time is "running out" regarding Tehran's final decision on possessing nuclear weapons.
He clarified that he made it clear to Putin that "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon," confirming that Putin agreed with him on this point.
Trump pointed out that Putin expressed his willingness to participate in talks with Iran and might play a role in accelerating a resolution, while Trump expressed his concern about Iran's "slowness" in making a decisive decision regarding this issue.
Trump concluded by saying that "a final answer from Iran will be required very soon," referring to the increasing diplomatic pressures surrounding this file.
