سجّلت محطات الرصد الزلزالي التابعة لهيئة المساحة الجيولوجية السعودية، مساء الخميس، هزة أرضية بقوة 3.44 درجة على مقياس ريختر، وقعت داخل الأراضي الإماراتية، على بُعد 11 كيلومتراً فقط من مركز البطحاء الحدودي السعودي.
وأوضحت الهيئة أن الهزة تم رصدها بدقة في تمام الساعة 23:03:52 مساءً، عبر الشبكة الوطنية للرصد الزلزالي، ولم يكن لها أي تأثير مباشر على المناطق السعودية المجاورة، مشيرة إلى أن المنطقة المتأثرة تقع ضمن نطاق نشاط زلزالي منخفض.
وتواصل الهيئة متابعة النشاط الزلزالي في المنطقة، مؤكدة جاهزية فرقها لرصد وتحليل أي تطورات جيولوجية محتملة.
The seismic monitoring stations of the Saudi Geological Survey recorded an earthquake measuring 3.44 on the Richter scale on Thursday evening, which occurred within Emirati territory, just 11 kilometers from the Saudi border center in Al-Batha.
The authority clarified that the tremor was accurately detected at 23:03:52 in the evening through the national seismic monitoring network, and it had no direct impact on the neighboring Saudi areas, noting that the affected region falls within a low seismic activity zone.
The authority continues to monitor seismic activity in the area, confirming that its teams are ready to detect and analyze any potential geological developments.
