The directive from Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to organize the Syrian-Saudi Investment Forum 2025 in Damascus comes as part of the leadership's commitment and extends Saudi Arabia's role in supporting Syria and protecting its sovereignty and security. This directive also continues the significant role that the Kingdom has played in lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria, and in preparing the conducive environment to expand investment partnerships to support the stability and development of the Syrian economy in a way that serves the common interests of both countries and enhances economic prosperity. This will enable the expansion of quality investments in productive and service sectors, benefiting the welfare, security, and stability of the Syrian people, supporting economic development, opening new channels for economic integration between the two countries, and outlining the features of economic and investment relations to accelerate and support the reconstruction process, create diverse opportunities, develop infrastructure, and empower the Syrian government to revive the economy.

Moreover, the Kingdom is working to support initiatives aimed at assisting the Syrian Arab Republic, both government and people, on political and economic fronts, and addressing the effects of international sanctions that have lasted for decades.
