أكَّد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، أن دول المجلس تؤمن بأهمية الحلول السلمية والدبلوماسية كسبيلٍ فاعلٍ لمعالجة القضايا والأزمات الإقليمية والدولية، ومنها الأزمة الروسية الأوكرانية.
جاء ذلك، خلال لقائه أمس وزير خارجية أوكرانيا أندريه سيبيها، وذلك على هامش مشاركته في أعمال منتدى «دوبروفنيك 2025» في كرواتيا.
وبحث اللقاء عددا من الموضوعات، واستعرض العلاقات الثنائية بين مجلس التعاون وأوكرانيا، وسُبل تنميتها وتعزيزها بما يحقق الأهداف المرجوة، وذلك في إطار مذكرة التفاهم التي وُقعت بين الجانبين في نوفمبر 2017؛ لتعزيز وتنمية وخدمة المصالح المشتركة بين الجانبين، إضافة إلى بحث آخر المستجدات على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية والقضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، ومنها الأزمة الروسية الأوكرانية.
وأوضح الأمين العام، أن موقف مجلس التعاون من هذه الأزمة مبني على مبادئ القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، والحفاظ على النظام الدولي القائم على احترام سيادة الدول وسلامة أراضيها واستقلالها السياسي، وعدم التدخل في شؤونها الداخلية، وعدم استخدام القوة أو التهديد بها.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, confirmed that the member states of the Council believe in the importance of peaceful and diplomatic solutions as an effective way to address regional and international issues and crises, including the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
This came during his meeting yesterday with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, on the sidelines of his participation in the "Dubrovnik 2025" forum in Croatia.
The meeting discussed several topics and reviewed the bilateral relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Ukraine, as well as ways to develop and enhance them to achieve the desired goals, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides in November 2017; to enhance, develop, and serve the common interests of both parties, in addition to discussing the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and issues of mutual interest, including the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The Secretary-General clarified that the position of the Gulf Cooperation Council on this crisis is based on the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, maintaining the international order based on respect for the sovereignty of states, the integrity of their territories, and their political independence, non-interference in their internal affairs, and the prohibition of the use of force or the threat thereof.
