تفاعلاً مع ما نُشر في صحيفة «عكاظ» تحت عنوان «الطلحة تشكو الإهمال» قام وفد من هيئة التراث - فرع منطقة عسير بزيارة ميدانية إلى قرية الطلحة للوقوف على واقع المباني والنقوش الأثرية التي تحتضنها القرية.
وترأس الوفد المهندس ظافر العسيري يرافقه العضو عوض القحطاني، حيث شملت الجولة عدداً من المواقع التراثية المهمة داخل القرية بما في ذلك المباني القديمة والنقوش الحجرية ذات القيمة التاريخية.
وقد رافق الوفد الزميل الإعلامي سعيد آل منصور الذي كان له دور في تسليط الضوء الإعلامي من خلال صحيفة عكاظ على معاناة القرية، كما رافقهم المواطن نايف آل منصور صاحب القصر الأثري بالطلحة، الذي قدم شرحاً وافياً عن تاريخ القصر والمباني المحيطة به، إضافة إلى الجهود الذاتية التي بذلها للحفاظ على معالم القصر رغم ضعف الإمكانات.
وأكد الوفد أهمية قرية الطلحة كأحد المواقع التي تحمل بعداً تاريخياً وثقافياً مهماً على مستوى المنطقة، مشيرين إلى أن الهيئة سترفع التوصيات اللازمة لتقييم وضع القرية الحالي والعمل على إدراجها ضمن خطط الحماية والصيانة المستهدفة بما يضمن المحافظة على إرثها العريق.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة تأكيداً على دور هيئة التراث التفاعلي مع ما يُطرح في وسائل الإعلام، واستشعاراً للمسؤولية الوطنية في حماية المواقع الأثرية من الإهمال والتلف، والسعي لإبرازها كوجهات ثقافية وسياحية ذات قيمة رفيعة.
In response to what was published in the newspaper "Okaz" under the title "Talhah Complains of Neglect," a delegation from the Heritage Authority - Asir Region Branch conducted a field visit to the village of Talhah to assess the condition of the historical buildings and inscriptions that the village hosts.
The delegation was headed by Engineer Dhafir Al-Asiri, accompanied by member Awad Al-Qahtani. The tour included several important heritage sites within the village, including ancient buildings and stone inscriptions of historical value.
The delegation was accompanied by media colleague Saeed Al-Mansour, who played a role in highlighting the village's struggles through the Okaz newspaper. They were also joined by citizen Nayef Al-Mansour, the owner of the historical palace in Talhah, who provided a comprehensive explanation of the palace's history and the surrounding buildings, in addition to the personal efforts he made to preserve the palace's features despite limited resources.
The delegation emphasized the importance of Talhah village as one of the sites that carries significant historical and cultural dimensions at the regional level, noting that the authority will raise the necessary recommendations to evaluate the current status of the village and work on including it in targeted protection and maintenance plans to ensure the preservation of its rich heritage.
This visit reaffirms the role of the Heritage Authority in engaging with what is presented in the media, and a sense of national responsibility in protecting archaeological sites from neglect and damage, and striving to highlight them as cultural and tourist destinations of high value.
