استقبلت رئيسة الحكومة التونسية سارة الزعفراني الزنزري، الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية سلطان المرشد، وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون التنموي بين الجانبين، واستعراض مسيرة الشراكة الممتدة لأكثر من 50 عاماً، خصوصاً في تمويل المشروعات الحيوية بتونس.
والتقى المرشد وزير الصحة التونسي مصطفى الفرجاني، وناقشا المشروعات الصحية الجاري تنفيذها بتمويل من الصندوق، وسبل دعم القطاع الصحي.
من جهة أخرى وقّع الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية سلطان المرشد، مع وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط بالجمهورية التونسية الدكتور سمير عبدالحفيظ اتفاقية قرض تنموي لتمويل مشروع إنشاء قطب واحي بالجنوب التونسي بقيمة تتجاوز 38 مليون دولار، وتجسّد هذه الاتفاقية الشراكة التنموية الوثيقة التي تمتد لنحو 50 عاماً بين الجانبين.
ويهدف المشروع إلى استصلاح الأراضي الزراعية في مختلف المناطق التونسية بمساحة تتجاوز 1,000 هكتار، وحفر وتجهيز 22 بئراً، وتوسعة القُرى ومرافقها، وإنشاء أكثر من 285 مسكناً للمستفيدين، وتعزيز البنية التحتية في مختلف المناطق من خلال إنشاء الطرق، وخطوط أنابيب وشبكات ضخ وتوزيع المياه الصالحة للشرب والري الزراعي، والمرافق الحيوية التي تعزز الإنتاج الزراعي، فضلاً عن المرافق التعليمية والمراكز الثقافية والاجتماعية والتجارية، مما يعزز النمو والازدهار الاجتماعي والاقتصادي في مختلف المناطق التونسية.
وتأتي هذه الاتفاقية في إطار نشاط الصندوق السعودي للتنمية للإسهام في تعزيز الفرص التنموية والحيوية في تونس، من خلال تمويل مشروعات وبرامج تنموية مستدامة لدعم البنية التحتية، وتحسين مستوى المعيشة، وتعزيز النمو الاقتصادي، نحو تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة والركائز الرئيسة في المسيرة الإنمائية.

The Tunisian Prime Minister Sarah Al-Zafraani Al-Zanzari received the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan Al-Murshid, and during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance developmental cooperation between the two sides and reviewed the partnership that has lasted for more than 50 years, especially in financing vital projects in Tunisia.
Al-Murshid also met with the Tunisian Minister of Health, Mustafa Al-Farjani, where they discussed the health projects currently being implemented with funding from the fund and ways to support the health sector.
On another note, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan Al-Murshid, signed a developmental loan agreement with the Minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Tunisia, Dr. Samir Abdul Hafiz, to finance the establishment of an agricultural hub in southern Tunisia with a value exceeding 38 million dollars. This agreement embodies the close developmental partnership that has lasted for nearly 50 years between the two sides.
The project aims to reclaim agricultural lands in various Tunisian regions covering an area of more than 1,000 hectares, drill and equip 22 wells, expand villages and their facilities, and create more than 285 housing units for beneficiaries. It also aims to enhance infrastructure in various areas by constructing roads, pipelines, and networks for pumping and distributing potable water and agricultural irrigation, as well as vital facilities that boost agricultural production, in addition to educational facilities and cultural, social, and commercial centers, thereby enhancing social and economic growth and prosperity in various Tunisian regions.
This agreement comes as part of the activities of the Saudi Fund for Development to contribute to enhancing developmental and vital opportunities in Tunisia by financing sustainable development projects and programs to support infrastructure, improve living standards, and promote economic growth, towards achieving sustainable development goals and the main pillars in the developmental journey.
