اختتم وزير البلديات والإسكان ماجد عبدالله الحقيل زيارته الرسمية إلى دولة الكويت، التي ترأس خلالها وفد المملكة في أعمال الاجتماع الثالث والعشرين للجنة وزراء الإسكان بدول مجلس التعاون، بحضور الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون.
وشهدت الاجتماعات اعتماد عدد من الأدلة الاسترشادية الفنية، من أبرزها «دليل الهندسة القيمية في مشاريع الإسكان بدول المجلس»، الذي أعدته السعودية، في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز كفاءة الإنفاق ورفع جودة المخرجات في المشاريع السكنية الخليجية.
وفي إنجاز يعكس ريادة المملكة في مجال التطوير العمراني المستدام، فاز مشروع «واجهة الفرسان» بالمركز الأول لجائزة مجلس التعاون في مجال الإسكان، وهي الجائزة التي تمنح لأفضل المشاريع الإسكانية المتميزة على مستوى دول الخليج.

كما تم خلال الحفل تكريم عدد من الجهات الفاعلة في دعم المبادرات السكنية، إذ جرى تكريم مؤسسة الشيخ صالح بن عبدالله كامل الإنسانية ضمن فئة «المؤسسات»، وتكريم سليمان بن عبدالقادر المهيدب ضمن فئة «الأفراد»، تقديراً لإسهاماتهم المؤثرة في دعم الأسر الأشد حاجة وتوفير حلول سكنية تنموية.
وعلى هامش الاجتماعات، عقد الوزير ماجد الحقيل اجتماعاً ثنائياً مع وزير الدولة لشؤون الإسكان وزير الدولة لشؤون البلديات في دولة الكويت عبداللطيف المشاري، تم خلاله بحث مجالات التعاون المشترك وآليات تبادل الخبرات والتكامل في تطوير السياسات الإسكانية والبلدية.
وفي إطار دعم العلاقات الثنائية، تم توقيع مذكرتي تفاهم في مجالي الإسكان والبلديات بين وزارة البلديات والإسكان في المملكة والمؤسسة العامة للرعاية السكنية وكذلك بلدية الكويت بدولة الكويت، بما يسهم في تعزيز الشراكة المؤسسية، ورفع مستوى التبادل الفني والمعرفي، وتطوير البرامج والمبادرات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
واختتمت الاجتماعات بالموافقة على النسخة النهائية للقواعد الموحدة لملاك العقارات المشتركة بدول مجلس التعاون، تمهيداً لرفعها إلى المجلس الأعلى في دورته القادمة.
The Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid Abdullah Al-Huqail, concluded his official visit to the State of Kuwait, during which he headed the Kingdom's delegation at the 23rd meeting of the Housing Ministers Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council, with the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council.
The meetings witnessed the adoption of several technical guidelines, most notably the "Value Engineering Guide in Housing Projects of the Council States," which was prepared by Saudi Arabia, in a step aimed at enhancing spending efficiency and improving the quality of outputs in Gulf housing projects.
In an achievement that reflects the Kingdom's leadership in the field of sustainable urban development, the "Fursan Waterfront" project won first place in the Gulf Cooperation Council Housing Award, which is granted to the best distinguished housing projects at the Gulf level.

During the ceremony, several active entities supporting housing initiatives were honored, including the Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation in the "Institutions" category, and Suleiman bin Abdulqader Al-Muhaydib in the "Individuals" category, in recognition of their impactful contributions to supporting the most needy families and providing developmental housing solutions.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Minister Majid Al-Huqail held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of State for Housing and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs in the State of Kuwait, Abdulatif Al-Mashari, during which they discussed areas of joint cooperation and mechanisms for exchanging experiences and integration in developing housing and municipal policies.
As part of supporting bilateral relations, two memorandums of understanding were signed in the fields of housing and municipalities between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing in the Kingdom and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, as well as the Municipality of Kuwait in the State of Kuwait, which contributes to enhancing institutional partnership, raising the level of technical and knowledge exchange, and developing programs and initiatives of mutual interest.
The meetings concluded with the approval of the final version of the unified rules for owners of common properties in the Gulf Cooperation Council, in preparation for submitting them to the Supreme Council in its upcoming session.
