رأس وزير الداخلية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، ووزير الداخلية بمملكة البحرين الفريق أول ركن الشيخ راشد بن عبدالله آل خليفة، أمس، الاجتماع الخامس للجنة التنسيق الأمني المنبثقة من مجلس التنسيق السعودي البحريني، الذي عُقد عبر الاتصال المرئي.
وأكد وزير الداخلية، في كلمة خلال الاجتماع، أن انعقاده يأتي امتداداً للتعاون الأمني القائم بين البلدين الشقيقين وتعزيزاً له، بناءً على توجيهات خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، وفي ظل العلاقات المميزة التي تجمع المملكة العربية السعودية ومملكة البحرين.
وأشار إلى أن العلاقات التاريخية والأخوية الراسخة بين البلدين تمثل نموذجاً للتعاون والتنسيق في مختلف المجالات، مبيناً أن الاجتماع يأتي لتعزيز التعاون الأمني في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، ومواجهة التحديات الإقليمية، ومتابعة تنفيذ ما تم الاتفاق عليه في الاجتماع الرابع لمجلس التنسيق السعودي البحريني، الذي عُقد في المنامة برئاسة ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء بمملكة البحرين.
تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق الامني
وأشاد وزير الداخلية بالجهود التي تبذلها فرق العمل من الجانبين لتنفيذ المبادرات المتفق عليها، ومنها مبادرة تعزيز التعاون في مجال الأمن السيبراني، ومبادرة الحد من انتشار الفكر المتطرف بين الشباب.
وشهد الاجتماع تدشين المرحلة الثانية من مبادرة تطبيق نظام «النقطة الواحدة» في البلدين، الهادفة إلى تسهيل إجراءات عبور المسافرين عبر جسر الملك فهد.
كما استعرض الاجتماع عدداً من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، وبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق الأمني بين البلدين، بما يسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات مجلس التنسيق السعودي البحريني.
وفي ختام الاجتماع، وقّع الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعود والفريق أول ركن الشيخ راشد بن عبدالله آل خليفة، محضر الاجتماع الخامس للجنة التنسيق الأمني المنبثقة من مجلس التنسيق السعودي البحريني.
The Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, and the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, chaired yesterday the fifth meeting of the Security Coordination Committee emanating from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which was held via video conference.
The Minister of Interior emphasized in a speech during the meeting that its convening comes as an extension of the existing security cooperation between the two brotherly countries and a reinforcement of it, based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and in light of the distinguished relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He pointed out that the historical and brotherly relations between the two countries represent a model for cooperation and coordination in various fields, indicating that the meeting aims to enhance security cooperation in areas of mutual interest, address regional challenges, and follow up on the implementation of what was agreed upon in the fourth meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which was held in Manama under the chairmanship of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
Enhancing Security Cooperation and Coordination
The Minister of Interior praised the efforts made by the working teams from both sides to implement the agreed-upon initiatives, including the initiative to enhance cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and the initiative to curb the spread of extremist ideology among youth.
The meeting also witnessed the launch of the second phase of the "Single Window" system initiative in both countries, aimed at facilitating the procedures for travelers crossing the King Fahd Bridge.
The meeting reviewed a number of topics on the agenda and discussed ways to enhance security cooperation and coordination between the two countries, contributing to achieving the objectives of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa signed the minutes of the fifth meeting of the Security Coordination Committee emanating from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council.
