شارك سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى لبنان فهد بن عبدالرحمن الدوسري، بحضور دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء اللبناني نوّاف سلام، في حفل وضع الحجر الأساس لتوسعة محطة الحاويات في مرفأ بيروت، الذي أقيم اليوم على رصيف 16 مرفأ بيروت (محطة الحاويات)، بمشاركة شخصيات سياسية واقتصادية.
يُذكر أنّ التوسعة الجديدة سترفع القدرة الاستيعابية للمرفأ من نحو 1.3 مليون حاوية نمطية سنويًا حاليًا إلى 3 ملايين حاوية بحلول عام 2028م.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Lebanon, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, participated, in the presence of the Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, in the ceremony for laying the foundation stone for the expansion of the container terminal at the Port of Beirut, which was held today at Pier 16 of the Port of Beirut (container terminal), with the participation of political and economic figures.
It is worth noting that the new expansion will increase the port's capacity from approximately 1.3 million standard containers annually to 3 million containers by 2028.
