أظهر تقرير «إنترنت السعودية» في نسخته الخامسة، الصادر عن هيئة الاتصالات والفضاء والتقنية، تحسّن معدل زمن الاستجابة لأشهر الألعاب الإلكترونية في المملكة بنسبة 89%، بما ينعكس إيجاباً على جودة الخدمة وأدائها.
وبيّن التقرير أن عدداً من أكثر الألعاب انتشاراً سجّل معدلات منخفضة لزمن الاستجابة، إذ بلغ 11 ملي ثانية في لعبتَي «Teamfight Tactics» و«League of Legends»، و12 ملي ثانية في لعبة «Mobile Legends».
وعلى صعيد منصات الألعاب، تصدّرت الأجهزة الذكية الاستخدام بنسبة 22.1%، تلتها منصة «PlayStation» بنسبة 21.8%، أما فترات اللعب، فجاء اللعب الأسبوعي في المقدمة بنسبة 32.1%، يليه اللعب على فترات متقطعة بنسبة 31%، ثم اللعب اليومي بنسبة 29.2%.
وفي مجال إنترنت الأشياء، أشار التقرير إلى بلوغ عدد الاشتراكات 13.85 مليون اشتراك، فيما وصلت نسبة التغطية السكانية في المناطق الحضرية بتقنية إنترنت الأشياء ذات النطاق الضيق «NB-IoT» إلى نحو 99%، مدعومة بأكثر من 30 ألف برج، وبلغت نسبة تبنّي إنترنت الأشياء في المنازل 18%.
وتعكس هذه المؤشرات جاهزية البنية التحتية الرقمية في المملكة لاستيعاب الاستخدامات المتنامية للإنترنت، بما في ذلك الألعاب الإلكترونية والتطبيقات المعتمدة على الاتصال بين الأجهزة، وتعزز حضور المملكة دولياً، إذ تصدّرت المركز الأول عالمياً في مؤشر الجاهزية الرقمية لعام 2025 الصادر عن الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات، مواصلةً تعزيز مكانتها في الاقتصاد الرقمي والابتكار بدعم من رؤية السعودية 2030.
The "Internet of Saudi Arabia" report in its fifth edition, issued by the Communications, Space and Technology Authority, showed an improvement in the response time for the most popular online games in the Kingdom by 89%, positively reflecting on the quality and performance of the service.
The report indicated that several of the most widely played games recorded low response times, with 11 milliseconds for the games "Teamfight Tactics" and "League of Legends," and 12 milliseconds for "Mobile Legends."
In terms of gaming platforms, smart devices led usage with 22.1%, followed by the "PlayStation" platform at 21.8%. As for gaming periods, weekly gaming topped the list at 32.1%, followed by intermittent gaming at 31%, and daily gaming at 29.2%.
In the field of the Internet of Things, the report noted that the number of subscriptions reached 13.85 million, while the population coverage rate in urban areas with Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology reached about 99%, supported by more than 30,000 towers, and the adoption rate of the Internet of Things in homes was 18%.
These indicators reflect the readiness of the digital infrastructure in the Kingdom to accommodate the growing uses of the internet, including online gaming and applications reliant on device connectivity, and enhance the Kingdom's international presence, as it ranked first globally in the Digital Readiness Index for 2025 issued by the International Telecommunication Union, continuing to strengthen its position in the digital economy and innovation supported by Saudi Vision 2030.
