يدير مركز التحكم الذكي، طبقاً لهيئة الطرق، كفاءات وطنية لمتابعة أعداد المركبات وتصنيفها، ورصد تباطؤ الحركة لحظياً، بما يدعم اتخاذ القرارات التشغيلية السريعة عند وقوع الحوادث أو الظروف الطارئة، ويعزز كفاءة إدارة الحركة المرورية بالتنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة لتوجيه فرق الصيانة إلى مواقع التدخل، بما يسهم في تقليص زمن الاستجابة، والحفاظ على انسيابية الحركة، ورفع كفاءة تشغيل شبكة الطرق.
وأكدت الهيئة العامة للطرق أن توظيف تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي في مركز التحكم الذكي يأتي ضمن جهودها لتطبيق أحدث الحلول التقنية في إدارة وتشغيل شبكة الطرق، بما يعزز مستويات السلامة، ويرتقي بجودة الخدمات المقدمة لمستخدمي الطرق.

The Intelligent Control Center, according to the Roads Authority, manages national competencies to monitor the number of vehicles and classify them, and to detect traffic slowdowns in real-time, which supports quick operational decision-making in the event of accidents or emergencies. It enhances the efficiency of traffic management in coordination with relevant authorities to direct maintenance teams to intervention sites, contributing to reducing response times, maintaining traffic flow, and improving the operational efficiency of the road network.
The General Authority for Roads confirmed that the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the Intelligent Control Center is part of its efforts to implement the latest technical solutions in managing and operating the road network, which enhances safety levels and elevates the quality of services provided to road users.
