وصلت إلى مطار الخرطوم الدولي في جمهورية السودان، اليوم، طائرة إغاثية سعودية يسيّرها مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، تحمل على متنها مساعدات إنسانية متنوعة تشتمل على سلال غذائية ومواد طبية تزن 10 أطنان.
تأتي هذه المساعدات في إطار الدعم الذي تقدمه المملكة العربية السعودية عبر مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة للأشقاء في السودان، وتجسيدًا للدور الإنساني النبيل الذي تقوم به المملكة تجاه الدول الشقيقة والصديقة في مختلف الأزمات والمحن.
خدمات للاجئي الروهينغا
وقّع مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، أمس، اتفاقية تعاون مشترك مع المنظمة الدولية للهجرة التابعة للأمم المتحدة (IOM)، لتنفيذ مشروع توفير خدمات المياه والنظافة الآمنة والمستدامة للاجئي الروهينغا المقيمين في مخيمات كوكس بازار بجمهورية بنغلاديش الشعبية، وذلك بقيمة 2,500,000 دولار.
مثّل الجانبين مساعد المشرف العام للعمليات والبرامج بالمركز المهندس أحمد بن علي البيز، والمدير الإقليمي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا عثمان فؤاد البلبيسي، وذلك في مقر المركز بالرياض. وسيجري بموجب الاتفاقية توفير المياه عبر تحسين 10 شبكات مياه وتحديث أنظمة الطاقة الشمسية، وتطوير مختبر لمراقبة جودة المياه ومياه الصرف الصحي بتجهيزات حديثة.
A Saudi relief plane operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center arrived today at Khartoum International Airport in the Republic of Sudan, carrying various humanitarian aid including food baskets and medical supplies weighing 10 tons.
This aid comes as part of the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to our brothers in Sudan, embodying the noble humanitarian role that the Kingdom plays towards brotherly and friendly countries in various crises and disasters.
Services for Rohingya Refugees
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a cooperation agreement yesterday with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), a United Nations agency, to implement a project to provide safe and sustainable water and sanitation services for Rohingya refugees residing in the Cox's Bazar camps in the People's Republic of Bangladesh, with a value of $2,500,000.
Representing both sides were the Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs at the center, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Bayez, and the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Othman Fouad Al-Balbisi, at the center's headquarters in Riyadh. Under the agreement, water will be provided by improving 10 water networks and upgrading solar energy systems, as well as developing a laboratory for monitoring water quality and wastewater with modern equipment.
