بحث وزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات المهندس عبدالله السواحة، خلال سلسلة لقاءات رسمية في جمهورية كوريا الجنوبية، توسيع التعاون السعودي الكوري في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وأشباه الموصلات، والبنية التحتية الرقمية، والخدمات الحكومية، إلى جانب دعم المبتعثين السعوديين وتعزيز دورهم في نقل المعرفة وبناء القدرات الوطنية.
إذ اجتمع السواحة مع نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير العلوم وتقنية المعلومات والاتصالات في جمهورية كوريا باي كيونغ هون، وناقشا فرص تطوير الشراكة في الذكاء الاصطناعي، وأشباه الموصلات، والبنية التحتية الرقمية، والبحث والابتكار، بما يدعم بناء اقتصاد رقمي تنافسي، ويعزز مكانة المملكة مركزاً عالمياً للذكاء الاصطناعي.
كما التقى وزير الداخلية والسلامة الكوري يون هو جونغ، وبحثا التعاون في المنصات الحكومية الموحدة، والهوية الرقمية، وتوظيف الذكاء الاصطناعي في تحسين الخدمات، إضافة إلى تعزيز الشراكة بين هيئة الحكومة الرقمية والوزارة الكورية.
وفي جانب آخر، التقى السواحة الطلاب والطالبات السعوديين المبتعثين في كوريا الجنوبية، وناقش تطلعاتهم ومساراتهم العلمية، ودورهم في نقل المعرفة وبناء القدرات الوطنية في الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات المتقدمة، والإسهام في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah Al-Swaha, during a series of official meetings in the Republic of South Korea, discussed expanding Saudi-Korean cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and government services, in addition to supporting Saudi scholarship students and enhancing their role in knowledge transfer and building national capacities.
Al-Swaha met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea, Lee Kyung-hun, and they discussed opportunities to develop the partnership in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and research and innovation, which supports building a competitive digital economy and enhances the Kingdom's position as a global center for artificial intelligence.
He also met with the Korean Minister of Interior and Safety, Yoon Hee-joon, and they discussed cooperation in unified government platforms, digital identity, and employing artificial intelligence to improve services, in addition to enhancing the partnership between the Digital Government Authority and the Korean ministry.
On another note, Al-Swaha met with Saudi scholarship students in South Korea, discussing their aspirations and academic paths, their role in knowledge transfer and building national capacities in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
