شارك وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريف، في لقاءٍ حول قطاع التعدين السعودي، عقد في العاصمة الصينية بكين، بتنظيمٍ من الوزارة وبالتعاون مع جمعية التعدين الصينية، وذلك لتسليط الضوء على رحلة تطور قطاع التعدين بالمملكة، واستعراض الفرص الاستثمارية التي يتيحها أمام شركات التعدين العالمية.
وأكّد الخريف في كلمته خلال اللقاء، متانة العلاقات الاقتصادية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية الصين الشعبية، التي تعد ركيزة أساسية لتوسيع آفاق التعاون الثنائي في قطاع التعدين، وتنمية الاستثمارات المشتركة في جميع مراحل التعدين ابتداءً من الاستكشاف حتى الاستغلال والمعالجة.
واستعرض مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 بتطوير قطاع التعدين وتحويله إلى ركيزة ثالثة في الصناعة الوطنية؛ لتعظيم الاستفادة منه في مسيرة التنوع الاقتصادي، مشيرًا إلى الفرص الواعدة التي تتيحها الإستراتيجية الشاملة للتعدين والصناعات المعدنية أمام شركات التعدين الصينية، خصوصا مع بيئة الاستثمار الجاذبة، وحوافزها الاستثنائية، التي نتجت عن تحسين نظام الاستثمار التعديني ليصبح من أفضل الأطر التنظيمية عالميًا.
وأشاد الوزير الخريّف باستثمارات الشركات الصينية في برامج الاستكشاف والمسح الجيولوجي التي تستهدف تغطية منطقة الدرع العربي بما يعادل نحو ثلث مساحة المملكة، حيث أسهمت تلك البرامج في رفع تقديرات الثروات المعدنية من 1.3 تريليون دولار إلى 2.5 تريليون دولار.
وأشار إلى المزايا التنافسية للبيئة الاستثمارية في المملكة، المرتكزة على مقومات إستراتيجية تشمل الموقع الجغرافي الذي يربط بين ثلاث قارات، والبنية التحتية المتطورة، وأسعار الطاقة التنافسية، إلى جانب سهولة إصدار التراخيص وتبسيط الإجراءات الحكومية، منوهًا بالممكنات والحوافز التي تقدمها منظومة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية لدعم الاستثمارات، وتيسير رحلة المستثمرين في القطاع.
واختتم الوزير كلمته خلال اللقاء بدعوة المشاركين إلى حضور النسخة الخامسة من مؤتمر التعدين الدولي، الذي تنظمه الوزارة في العاصمة الرياض خلال الفترة من 13 إلى 15 يناير 2026.
وشهدت ورشة العمل مشاركة أكثر من عشرين شركة تعدين صينية، وتضمنت عروضًا تقديمية حول الإستراتيجية الشاملة للتعدين والصناعات المعدنية، ومناطق الاستكشاف التعديني في المملكة، والحوافز والممكنات الموجهة للمستثمرين، وأحدث الممارسات المستدامة، إضافة إلى تسليط الضوء على أهمية تحفيز الابتكار والحلول الذكية في عمليات التعدين وإدارة المناجم.
وتأتي مشاركة الخريف في اللقاء ضمن زيارته الرسمية إلى الصين، والتي تستهدف توسيع آفاق التعاون الإستراتيجي بين البلدين في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين، واستقطاب الاستثمارات النوعية إلى المملكة.

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef participated in a meeting about the Saudi mining sector, held in the Chinese capital Beijing, organized by the ministry in collaboration with the China Mining Association. The meeting aimed to highlight the development journey of the mining sector in the Kingdom and showcase the investment opportunities it offers to global mining companies.
In his speech during the meeting, Al-Khorayef emphasized the strength of economic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China, which serves as a fundamental pillar for expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation in the mining sector and developing joint investments across all stages of mining, from exploration to exploitation and processing.
He reviewed the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the mining sector and transform it into a third pillar of the national industry, maximizing its benefits in the journey towards economic diversification. He pointed to the promising opportunities provided by the comprehensive mining and mineral industries strategy for Chinese mining companies, especially with the attractive investment environment and its exceptional incentives, resulting from the improvement of the mining investment system to become one of the best regulatory frameworks globally.
The minister praised the investments of Chinese companies in exploration and geological survey programs aimed at covering the Arabian Shield, which accounts for about one-third of the Kingdom's area. These programs have contributed to raising estimates of mineral wealth from $1.3 trillion to $2.5 trillion.
He highlighted the competitive advantages of the investment environment in the Kingdom, based on strategic components that include the geographical location connecting three continents, advanced infrastructure, competitive energy prices, as well as the ease of issuing licenses and simplifying government procedures. He noted the enablers and incentives provided by the industrial and mineral resources system to support investments and facilitate the journey of investors in the sector.
The minister concluded his speech during the meeting by inviting participants to attend the fifth edition of the International Mining Conference, organized by the ministry in the capital Riyadh from January 13 to 15, 2026.
The workshop witnessed the participation of more than twenty Chinese mining companies and included presentations on the comprehensive mining and mineral industries strategy, mining exploration areas in the Kingdom, incentives and enablers directed at investors, and the latest sustainable practices, in addition to highlighting the importance of stimulating innovation and smart solutions in mining operations and mine management.
Al-Khorayef's participation in the meeting is part of his official visit to China, which aims to expand the horizons of strategic cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors and attract quality investments to the Kingdom.
