I never expected some supporters of Al-Ittihad Club, who read my article published on 5/11 under the title "The Media and Fans of Al-Ittihad... Your Dreams are Happy," to interpret what I wrote so quickly, and to engage with its content in such a "doubtful" manner, dominated by a language of "emotion," without reflecting on the refined essence of my whispers, written with great care, and what was implied "between the lines."
• I aimed to deliver sharp and focused criticism, following the style of "hit here, it shakes there," with the goal of sending a delicate message to those concerned, in a polite manner that narrates and clarifies the poor state that Al-Ittihad Club has reached, and the extent of the suffering that has led to its fans' reluctance to attend matches, in an unprecedented phenomenon, and a media that has tired and grown weary of conveying this suffering through various means, at different stages.
• Unfortunately, there has been little to no interaction from the official owner of Al-Ittihad Club's company, appreciating the value and status of these fans, and the "rational" role played by the media interested in Al-Ittihad affairs, hoping that someone understands and responds, realizing that the "loser" is primarily the one who has failed to achieve the goals of a project, of which clubs are one of its components, given their reputation and rich history, which were the main reasons for their selection. At the forefront of these clubs is its dean, Al-Ittihad Club.
• Some fans of this great entity went so far as to interpret my opinion as if I would remain silent and raise the white flag after being struck by "frustration," thinking that this is my position, a feeling I cannot "blame them" for, as they were "optimistic" about me, both as a person and a journalist who has had many battles in the journalistic and literary arenas, etched in the memory of every Al-Ittihadi and non-Al-Ittihadi, defending the rights of the club and other clubs, under an eternal and constant slogan: "Justice and nothing but justice."
• I considered their disappointment closer to a "rebuke" wrapped in dissatisfaction, and their reactions were akin to "shock," and how many shocks the supporters of the dean have received since its identity changed. They still cannot "believe" that I might put down my pen and place this valuable and influential weapon on the track of the final "farewell," which has no meaning or explanation other than an ending. Can the pulse of a writer with a "living" conscience die, who struggles with the message of the word to convey the truth, no matter how bitter, and defends the values and principles that seek justice, and solidify the constants from which our clubs and national teams launch towards national achievements, in which the media plays an important role in realizing?
• A final whisper:
Thank you a thousand times, my dear and beloved readers, for your sincere feelings. If you misunderstood my article, I kindly ask you to read it again, and then you will realize that I am with Al-Ittihad and the suffering of its great fans "heart and soul." I am confident that my message has reached those concerned with keeping this entity proud, filled with achievements.
• Perhaps the signs of "goodness" have begun to rain with the news published by this newspaper, which exclusively reported the existence of three known coalitions with "Ittihadi" affiliations, eager to protect its reputation and historical legacy, that have advanced to acquire it. Perhaps we will read or hear "good news" soon, that will delight the patient fans, regarding contracts that will warm their hearts during the winter period, restoring the dean's brilliance, and the stands' beauty and exciting noise that has disappeared.
• Why not? Hold on to "hope," in a nation that is honored to have your club dubbed by the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may God rest his soul, as the "Club of the Nation."
