How can I blame public awareness for highlighting the celebrities of nonsense, at a time when official entities are inviting them to attend prestigious events, placing them at the forefront of their guest lists alongside the official, social, scientific, and cultural figures of society?! Or when government administrations grant licenses for opening ceremonies, ribbon-cutting, and promoting goods, without strict regulatory oversight on the behavior of their celebrities!
What is this flaw in determining the criteria for invitees among some of those responsible for these events and those who prepare their guest lists?! Are they ignorant of the criteria for selecting invitees for such dignified occasions, or are they, in fact, part of the audience of nonsense celebrities?! I say "nonsense" because there are respected celebrities who contribute to raising societal awareness and utilize their talents and communication skills to serve public issues through the content they provide, and they should not be confused with the nonsense celebrities who have entered the field of fame through the doors of buffoonery, triviality, and foolishness, and who have not mastered how to handle its lights!
Exclamation marks are scattered at every event where the serious mix with the trivial, making it hard to discern the dividing lines between dignitaries with their social, scientific, and cultural status, and the intruders who have no known attributes or colors. If we previously held some entities responsible for being lenient in granting licenses for the buffoonery and advertising of nonsense celebrities, and we held the public responsible for being aware of sorting celebrities and evaluating their content, then we bear a greater responsibility for those who contribute to highlighting and promoting them through invitations to official events and meetings!
Doesn’t it disgust you that some people rush to involve their families' private lives, making their parents and even grandparents content for their accounts on social media platforms, in pursuit of fame and money?! Even young people are now tempted by fame to achieve wealth and luxury, as their path is easier and shorter than the path of education, qualification, and employment, which raises a warning bell about the temptations that the hollow path of fame offers for the future of generations in society!
In short... let us remember the statement of the Minister of Information at the Influencers Conference: not every famous person is an influencer, and not every influencer is famous. This is an accurate statement that diagnoses the situation. And remember, oh you who are behind invitations and media campaigns: the number of followers and views has no value when it comes to following an influencer for benefit, and following a celebrity just to laugh at them!
