منذ أن وُجد الإعلام وهو يواجه معادلة صعبة: كيف يمكن أن يكون جذاباً للمتلقي وفي الوقت ذاته مسؤولاً تجاه الحقيقة والمجتمع؟!
هذه المعادلة المحورية في العمل الإعلامي ليست خياراً اليوم يمكن التلاعب به أو الالتفاف عليه في زمنٍ أصبح الخبر ينتقل حول العالم خلال مدة أقصر من مدة تناول أحدنا لكوب من القهوة، والمؤسف والمؤكد أن الشائعات والمبالغات المثيرة تنتشر أسرع من انتشار الوقائع الحقيقية. ومن هنا يبرز جوهر الإعلام المهني المسؤول، الذي يقوم على طرح القضايا بوعي واقتراح الحلول، لا على صناعة الأزمات وتضخيمها.
الإعلامي الحقيقي لا يلهث خلف «الترند» ولا يسقط في فخ الإثارة التي قد تجذب جمهوراً عابراً لكنها تترك أثراً سلبياً عميقاً على المدى الطويل. فالمهنية تقتضي أن يكون الإعلامي شاهداً دقيقاً على الأحداث، لا مجرد ناقل مشوَّه لها. ولذلك فإن نصح الإعلاميين بتحري الدقة ليس ترفاً، بل هو جوهر العمل الصحفي.
على كل إعلامي في المملكة أن يؤمن بأنه يحمل على عاتقه مسؤولية وطنية قبل أي شيء آخر. فالثوابت الوطنية يُفترض أن تكون بوصلة تحدد اتجاه كل مادة إعلامية. وحين يتناول الإعلامي قضايا المجتمع، عليه أن يضع في ذهنه دائماً أن الهدف الأسمى هو خدمة المصالح العليا للوطن، وتعزيز الوحدة، والابتعاد عن كل ما يثير الانقسام أو يغذي خطاب الكراهية. فالإعلام المسؤول هو الذي يُبرز الصورة الحقيقية للمجتمع، بثرائه الثقافي وتنوعه الفكري، ويجعل من نجاحات الوطن مادةً للتحفيز، لا مجرد عناوين هامشية عابرة.
إن الفرق بين الإعلام المهني والإعلام الهاوي أن الأول يطرح القضايا بوعي، فيرصد المشكلة بدقة، ويضع أمام الرأي العام والجهات المعنية تصوراً للحلول الممكنة. أما الإعلام غير المسؤول فيكتفي بإشعال النار في الهشيم دون أن يُقدم ما ينفع الناس. والإعلام السعودي اليوم بحاجة إلى مزيد من هذا الوعي البنّاء الذي يحوّل المنابر الإعلامية إلى أدوات لصناعة الحلول، لا مجرد غرف صدى تُكرر الأزمات وتُعيد تدويرها.
وبالطبع لا يمكن الحديث عن الإعلام المسؤول دون الإشادة بالدور الكبير الذي تقوم به وزارة الإعلام وهيئة تنظيم الإعلام في المملكة. فهذه المؤسسات لا تمثل مجرد جهات رقابية أو تنظيمية، بل هي حاضنة لتطوير الإعلامي السعودي، ومنظومة تحافظ على توازنه بين الحرية والمسؤولية.
لقد قطعت المملكة شوطاً كبيراً في تمكين الإعلام ليكون أحد أعمدة رؤية 2030، وأصبحنا نرى تنظيماً أكثر وضوحاً، ودعماً للإعلاميين والمؤسسات الإعلامية الوطنية، وتوجيهاً نحو تطوير المحتوى المحلي بما يخدم صورة المملكة عالمياً ويعكس حقيقة نهضتها.
والأكيد أن التاريخ سوف يسجل لكل إعلامي اختياره: هل كان صوتاً مسؤولاً يسهم في صناعة وعي مجتمعي راقٍ ويحمي وطنه من حملات التضليل؟ أم كان مجرد متسابق على لحظات من الشهرة الزائفة؟
أخيراً.. الإعلام السعودي أمام فرصة تاريخية ليكون نموذجاً عربياً في المهنية والمسؤولية، وهذا لن يتحقق إلا إذا التزم الإعلاميون بالمسؤولية وتحري الدقة، ووعوا أن رسالتهم أكبر من مجاراة الترندات، وأعمق من مجرد عناوين مثيرة.

From here, the essence of responsible professional media emerges, which is based on raising issues with awareness and proposing solutions, not on creating and amplifying crises.
A true journalist does not chase after "trends" nor fall into the trap of sensationalism that may attract a fleeting audience but leaves a deep negative impact in the long run. Professionalism requires that the journalist be an accurate witness to events, not just a distorted transmitter of them. Therefore, advising journalists to seek accuracy is not a luxury; it is the essence of journalistic work.
Every journalist in the Kingdom must believe that they carry a national responsibility above all else. National constants should be the compass that determines the direction of every media material. When a journalist addresses community issues, they must always keep in mind that the ultimate goal is to serve the higher interests of the nation, promote unity, and steer clear of anything that incites division or fuels hate speech. Responsible media is the one that highlights the true image of society, with its cultural richness and intellectual diversity, and turns the nation's successes into material for motivation, not just passing marginal headlines.

The Kingdom has made great strides in empowering media to be one of the pillars of Vision 2030, and we now see clearer organization, support for journalists and national media institutions, and guidance towards developing local content that serves the Kingdom's image globally and reflects the reality of its renaissance.
It is certain that history will record every journalist's choice: whether they were a responsible voice contributing to the creation of a refined societal awareness and protecting their homeland from disinformation campaigns, or merely a competitor for fleeting moments of false fame?
