"Historically, when has Saudi Arabia wronged Lebanon?" This questioning phrase came during an interview conducted by Al Arabiya channel with the President of the Lebanese Forces Party, Dr. Samir Geagea, in which he mentioned the Kingdom's supportive positions towards Lebanon politically and economically throughout various stages, culminating in the achievement of the presidential election; the long vacancy of which posed a significant danger among the many threats faced by Lebanon, and which it continues to face. In the same context, Dr. Geagea's interview was preceded by an interview with the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, who praised the Kingdom's efforts regarding Lebanon and the Arab situation in general, to achieve peace, stability, development, and the sovereignty of the national state in which citizens live without distinctions.
Dr. Geagea's question can be rephrased in a general form to ask: When has Saudi Arabia wronged any Arab or regional country or outside this scope anywhere in the world? The Kingdom has not changed or altered its steadfast principles in its international relations, which are based on respect and constructive cooperation, and the establishment of the foundations of stability, peace, and shared positive benefits. As for its Arab surroundings, it is always present for harmony, extinguishing fires, and cutting off the roots of disputes that lead to the fragmentation and disintegration of nations and their loss in the chaos. It does this while feeling its responsibility as a major Arab state, and in order to fulfill this responsibility, it does not hesitate to leverage its balanced international relations, which enjoy respect and trust, and to mobilize all it can in terms of political and economic support for brotherly countries.
The Saudi role throughout the history of the Kingdom is clear and consistent in its political literature across all stages, but now, in light of the looming and increasing dangers, it has become more dynamic, present, and effective, whether concerning the central Arab issue represented by the Palestinian right to establish its state, or regarding what has happened and is happening in some Arab countries; such as Syria and Lebanon, to name just a few.
Nevertheless, the Kingdom cannot achieve miracles if the countries caught in the whirlpool of crises do not sincerely and resolutely try to help themselves. All the great efforts made by the Kingdom require courageous internal national will to achieve the positive results that it aspires to see on the ground in the countries it supports, and the undeniable and clear truth remains that the Kingdom does not have the term "wronging" any country in its vocabulary, and any seeker of truth with objectivity and fairness will find historical evidence that proves this fact.
