اشتدت قوة الإعصار «ترودي» في المحيط الهادئ قبالة سواحل المكسيك، ليصبح إعصاراً من الفئة الثالثة، مصحوباً برياح بلغت سرعتها 195 كيلومتراً في الساعة.
وأوضح المركز الوطني الأمريكي للأعاصير في ميامي، أن الإعصار يتحرك باتجاه الشمال الغربي بسرعة 9 كيلومترات في الساعة، ويبعد نحو 420 كيلومتراً جنوب غرب مدينة أكابولكو، ونحو 590 كيلومتراً جنوب شرق مدينة مانزانيلو.
وتوقع المركز أن تزداد قوة الإعصار خلال اليومين القادمين، وأن يقترب مركزه من سواحل جنوب غرب المكسيك وغربها الأوسط غداً (السبت).
وفي السياق ذاته، بلغت سرعة الرياح المصاحبة للعاصفة الاستوائية «سايمون»، الواقعة شمال غرب الإعصار «ترودي»، نحو 75 كيلومتراً في الساعة، وسط توقعات بتراجع قوتها قريباً.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami explained that the hurricane is moving northwest at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour, and is located about 420 kilometers southwest of Acapulco and about 590 kilometers southeast of Manzanillo.
The center expects the hurricane's strength to increase over the next two days, and for its center to approach the southwestern and central western coasts of Mexico tomorrow (Saturday).
In the same context, the wind speed associated with Tropical Storm "Simon," located northwest of Hurricane "Trudy," is about 75 kilometers per hour, with expectations of a decrease in its strength soon.
