أدرجت شركة أبل هاتف «آيفون X» رسمياً ضمن قائمة منتجاتها القديمة (Obsolete)، لتغلق بذلك صفحة أحد أبرز هواتفها التي أحدثت تحولاً كبيراً في تصميم سلسلة آيفون، منذ الكشف عنه للمرة الأولى عام 2017.
ويعني تصنيف الهاتف ضمن المنتجات القديمة توقف خدمات الصيانة والإصلاح الرسمية لدى أبل ومراكز الخدمة المعتمدة، إلى جانب توقف توفير قطع الغيار، بعد مرور سنوات على انتهاء طرح الجهاز للبيع في الأسواق.
وشكل «آيفون X» عند إطلاقه محطة فارقة في تاريخ هواتف أبل، إذ جاء بتصميم مختلف عن الأجيال السابقة، وتخلت الشركة من خلاله عن زر الشاشة الرئيسية الذي ظل جزءاً أساسياً من هوية آيفون لسنوات، كما قدم تقنية التعرف على الوجه «Face ID»، وشاشة OLED تمتد إلى معظم الواجهة.
وجاء الهاتف آنذاك احتفالاً بمرور 10 سنوات على إطلاق أول آيفون، وأسهم تصميمه في رسم الملامح الأساسية للأجيال اللاحقة من هواتف الشركة. وبإدراجه ضمن قائمة المنتجات القديمة، تنتهي رحلة الدعم الرسمي لجهاز ارتبط بواحدة من أكبر التحولات التصميمية والتقنية في تاريخ هواتف أبل.
Apple has officially included the iPhone X in its list of obsolete products, thus closing the chapter on one of its most significant phones that brought a major shift in the design of the iPhone series since it was first unveiled in 2017.
This classification of the phone as obsolete means that official maintenance and repair services at Apple and authorized service centers will cease, along with the availability of spare parts, after years have passed since the device was last sold in the markets.
The iPhone X marked a turning point in the history of Apple phones upon its launch, as it featured a design different from previous generations, and the company eliminated the home button that had been an essential part of the iPhone's identity for years. It also introduced Face ID technology and an OLED screen that extends across most of the front.
The phone was launched in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone, and its design contributed to shaping the fundamental features of subsequent generations of the company's phones.
