أعلنت السلطات الهندية فقدان 9 أشخاص، اليوم (السبت)، بعد انهيار ملجأين بسبب الفيضانات والانهيارات الأرضية الناجمة عن الأمطار الغزيرة في ولاية أرونشال براديش.
وذكرت قناة «إن دي تي في» الهندية أن انهياراً أرضياً وقع في وادي ديبانج، أدى إلى انهيار ملجأين كانا يؤويان أسراً فرت من المناطق المتضررة جراء الأمطار والفيضانات.
وأوضحت أن فرق الإنقاذ تمكنت من انتشال شخصين من تحت الأنقاض، فيما تتواصل عمليات البحث عن بقية المفقودين، وبينهم أفراد من الجيش، وفق المعلومات الأولية.
وتشهد أرونشال براديش، الواقعة شمال شرقي الهند على الحدود مع الصين، أوضاعاً جوية صعبة نتيجة الأمطار الموسمية الغزيرة، التي تسببت في فيضانات وانهيارات أرضية في عدد من المناطق.
وأدت الأحوال الجوية القاسية إلى مصرع 10 أشخاص في أنحاء الولاية، فيما تسببت السيول والانهيارات في أضرار واسعة بالبنية التحتية، شملت تدمير 235 طريقاً و40 جسراً و373 نظاماً لتخزين المياه، إلى جانب مئات المباني.
وتواجه المناطق الجبلية في شمال شرقي الهند مخاطر متزايدة خلال موسم الأمطار الموسمية، إذ يمكن للأمطار الغزيرة أن تؤدي إلى ارتفاع منسوب المياه وانهيار التربة والصخور، ما يهدد القرى والطرق والمنشآت الواقعة في المناطق المنخفضة أو على المنحدرات.
وتواصل فرق الإنقاذ عمليات البحث عن المفقودين، وسط توقعات باستمرار تأثيرات الأمطار والفيضانات على عدد من المناطق المتضررة، بينما تعمل السلطات على تقييم حجم الخسائر وإعادة فتح الطرق والمنشآت المتضررة.
