أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم) تنفيذ سلسلة من العمليات الميدانية في بحر العرب، شملت تغيير مسار سفن تجارية وصعود قواتها إلى عدد من السفن، ضمن إجراءات إنفاذ الحصار البحري المفروض على إيران.
وقالت «سنتكوم»، في بيان نشرته اليوم (الأحد) عبر منصة «إكس»، إن القوات الأمريكية غيّرت مسار 12 سفينة تجارية حتى السبت 25 يوليو، بعد محاولتها عبور ما وصفته بالحصار البحري الأمريكي المفروض على إيران.
وأضافت أن القوات الأمريكية عطّلت حركة سفينتين لعدم امتثالهما للتعليمات، كما نفذت عمليات صعود وتفتيش على متن سفينتين أخريين لضمان الالتزام بالإجراءات والتعليمات البحرية المعمول بها.
وأكدت القيادة المركزية أن الحصار البحري المفروض على إيران لا يزال سارياً بشكل كامل، مشددة على استمرار تنفيذ عملياته وفق الخطط المعلنة.
وكانت القوات الأمريكية قد أعلنت، في وقت سابق أمس، إتمام عملية صعود للتحقق من وضع ناقلة النفط M/T Charminar التي ترفع علم جزر القمر أثناء إبحارها في بحر العرب، مشيرة إلى أن الناقلة واصلت رحلتها بعد انتهاء إجراءات التحقق.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the execution of a series of field operations in the Arabian Sea, which included redirecting commercial ships and boarding its forces onto several vessels, as part of the enforcement measures of the maritime blockade imposed on Iran.
CENTCOM stated in a statement published today (Sunday) via the "X" platform that U.S. forces redirected 12 commercial ships by Saturday, July 25, after they attempted to cross what it described as the U.S. maritime blockade imposed on Iran.
It added that U.S. forces disrupted the movement of two ships for failing to comply with instructions, and conducted boarding and inspection operations on two other ships to ensure compliance with the applicable maritime procedures and instructions.
The Central Command confirmed that the maritime blockade imposed on Iran remains fully in effect, emphasizing the continuation of its operations according to the announced plans.
Earlier yesterday, U.S. forces announced the completion of a boarding operation to verify the status of the oil tanker M/T Charminar, which flies the Comoros flag, while it was sailing in the Arabian Sea, noting that the tanker continued its journey after the verification procedures were completed.
