أعلن المتحدث باسم الداخلية السورية، نور الدين البابا، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، التوصل لطرف خيط يدل على منفذي التفجيرات في العاصمة دمشق، موضحاً أن الانفجار كان هدفه الطوق الأمني الذي يحمي الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون.
وقال البابا للصحافيين: «قيادة الأمن الداخلي باشرت بالاشتراك مع الجنائية التحقيق في الانفجار الذي يستهدف العلاقات السورية الفرنسية»، وأكّد الوصول إلى رأس خيط يدل على الفاعلين.
وأشار إلى أن «العبوات الناسفة زُرعت قبل دقائق فقط من الانفجار»، مبيناً أنه «يجري متابعة ما تم التوصل إليه وسيتم قريباً القبض على الفاعلين».
وأضاف: «من الطبيعي أن تتعرض سورية لهجمات إرهابية بسبب دورها البارز في مكافحة الإرهاب»، موضحاً أن «الأماكن السيادية ليست مستهدفة لعجز الإرهابيين عن تجاوز القبضة الأمنية، وموقع انفجار اليوم على أطراف الطوق الأمني».
بدورها، قال مصدر في وزارة الخارجية السورية، اليوم، إن الأعمال الإرهابية لن تثني البلاد عن المضي في مسيرة الاستقرار والانفتاح على شراكات دولية، موضحة أن «الدولة تؤكد أن هذه الأعمال الإرهابية لن تثنيها عن مواصلة مسار الاستقرار والانفتاح، وأنها تعمل بثقة في توسيع شراكاتها الدولية... وأن أي محاولات تستهدف زعزعة الأمن أو عرقلة مسار التعافي والانفتاح لن تنجح في تغيير هذا التوجه».
واعتبر وزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني، زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي إلى دمشق تاريخية وتشكل محطة مفصلية في مسار العلاقات الثنائية، مؤكداً مواصلة بلاده في مواجهة الإرهاب بكل أشكاله.
وأشار إلى أن زيارة ماكرون التاريخية شكلت محطة مفصلية في مسار العلاقات السورية الفرنسية، وأرست مرحلة جديدة من الشراكة، مضيفاً «لن تغير أي محاولات لعرقلة مسار سورية أو النيل من أمنها واستقرارها من حقيقة أنها تمضي بثبات نحو استعادة دورها الإقليمي والدولي»، وذلك بعد وقوع انفجارين صباح اليوم قرب فندق إقامة ماكرون، وهو أول رئيس لدولة غربية كبرى يزور دمشق منذ إطاحة النظام السابق في أواخر العام 2024.
The spokesperson for the Syrian Interior Ministry, Nour al-Din al-Baba, announced today (Tuesday) that they have reached a lead indicating the perpetrators of the explosions in the capital, Damascus, explaining that the explosion targeted the security cordon protecting French President Emmanuel Macron.
Al-Baba told reporters: "The internal security leadership has begun, in cooperation with the criminal investigation department, to investigate the explosion that targets Syrian-French relations," and confirmed that they have reached a lead indicating the perpetrators.
He pointed out that "the explosive devices were planted just minutes before the explosion," indicating that "they are following up on what has been discovered and that the perpetrators will soon be apprehended."
He added: "It is natural for Syria to be subjected to terrorist attacks due to its prominent role in combating terrorism," explaining that "sovereign locations are not targeted because the terrorists are unable to breach the security grip, and the site of today's explosion is on the outskirts of the security cordon."
For its part, a source in the Syrian Foreign Ministry stated today that terrorist acts will not deter the country from continuing its path toward stability and openness to international partnerships, clarifying that "the state affirms that these terrorist acts will not deter it from continuing the path of stability and openness, and that it is confidently working to expand its international partnerships... and that any attempts to undermine security or disrupt the path of recovery and openness will not succeed in changing this direction."
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani considered the French president's visit to Damascus historic and a pivotal moment in the course of bilateral relations, affirming his country's continued fight against terrorism in all its forms.
He noted that Macron's historic visit marked a pivotal moment in Syrian-French relations and established a new phase of partnership, adding, "No attempts to disrupt Syria's course or undermine its security and stability will change the fact that it is steadily moving toward restoring its regional and international role," following the occurrence of two explosions this morning near Macron's hotel, making him the first president of a major Western country to visit Damascus since the overthrow of the previous regime in late 2024.
