أعلنت جماعة مسلحة عراقية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إطلاق سراح الصحافية الأمريكية المختطفة شيلي كيتلسون.
وقالت كتائب حزب الله، وهي جماعة مسلحة عراقية متحالفة مع إيران، إنها ستُفرج عن الصحافية الأمريكية المخطوفة شيلي كيتلسون، مضيفة أنها يتعين عليها مغادرة العراق على الفور.
وقال المسؤول الأمني لكتائب حزب الله أبو مجاهد العساف إن حركته قررت إطلاق سراح الصحافية الأمريكية شيلي كيتلسون، التي جرى اختطافها وسط بغداد في 31 مارس الماضي، مشيراً إلى أن هذه المبادرة لن تتكرر مرة أخرى في قادم الأيام.
الصحفية الأمريكية المختطفة
وزعم العساف أن الصحافية الأمريكية متهمة بالقيام بأنشطة في العراق، وأنه في قادم الأيام سيعرض أنشطتها.
وكانت كيتلسون قد خُطفت في أواخر مارس الماضي في بغداد، وبحسب موقع المونيتور الإخباري المتخصص في شؤون الشرق الأوسط، فإن كيتلسون هي صحافية أمريكية مستقلة مقيمة في روما، وقدمت تغطية صحفية لعدة حروب في المنطقة وساهمت بمقالات في الموقع.
وتعرف كيتلسون بتقاريرها الجريئة من مناطق الحروب في أفغانستان والعراق وسورية، ولا تُعرف لها أي أجندة سياسية، وقد ساهمت في عدد كبير من المنشورات، من بينها «المونيتور».
وكانت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، قالت في مطلع أبريل الجاري، إنّ المتهم المعتقل في قضية اختطاف الصحفية الأمريكية شيلي كيتلسون، على صلة بحركة كتائب حزب الله العراقية، مبينة أنّ مشتبهاً به أوقفته السلطات العراقية كانت له صلة بكتائب حزب الله الموالية لإيران.
ودعا مساعد وزير الخارجية الأمريكي للشؤون العامة العالمية ديلان جونسون جميع الأمريكيين، بمن فيهم أفراد الصحافة، بالالتزام بجميع إرشادات السفر.

Abu Mujahid Al-Asaf, the security official of the Hezbollah Brigades, said that his group decided to release the American journalist Shelly Kittleson, who was abducted in central Baghdad on March 31, noting that this initiative would not be repeated in the coming days.
الصحفية الأمريكية المختطفة
Al-Asaf claimed that the American journalist is accused of engaging in activities in Iraq, and that in the coming days, he would present evidence of her activities.
Kittleson was kidnapped in late March in Baghdad, and according to the Monitor news site specializing in Middle Eastern affairs, Kittleson is an independent American journalist residing in Rome, who has covered several wars in the region and contributed articles to the site.
Kittleson is known for her bold reports from war zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, and she is not known to have any political agenda, having contributed to a large number of publications, including "The Monitor."
In early April, the U.S. State Department stated that the suspect arrested in the case of the kidnapping of American journalist Shelly Kittleson is linked to the Iraqi Hezbollah movement, indicating that a suspect detained by Iraqi authorities had ties to the Iran-aligned Hezbollah Brigades.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Global Public Affairs Dylan Johnson urged all Americans, including members of the press, to adhere to all travel advisories.
