قتل ثلاثة أشخاص أحدهم طفل، وأصيب 8 آخرون بجروح متفاوته اليوم (الخميس)، في انفجار عبوة ناسفة أمام مقر حزب الإصلاح في شارع جمال بمدينة تعز جنوب غرب اليمن.
ونقلت الشبكة اليمنية للحقوق والحريات عن شهود عيان قولهم إن دراجة نارية كانت تقل سائقها وشخصًا آخر وبرفقتهما طفل، وصلت إلى محيط بوابة مقر الحزب، وكان بحوزتهم بطارية ولوح شمسي صغير، موضحة أن الشخص ترجل ووضع البطارية على الأرض، حتى وقع انفجار عنيف هزّ المنطقة المحيطة، موضحة أن الترجيحات بأن أن العبوة الناسفة كانت مزروعة داخل البطارية.

وأشارت الشبكة إلى أن بعض الحالات المصابة في وضع صحي حرج، فيما قالت مصادر أمنية في تعز أن غالبية الجرحى من طلاب المدارس، كون الانفجار تزامن مع عودتهم إلى منازلهم عقب الانتهاء من أداء امتحانات نصف العام الدراسي.

وأشارت إلى أن أحد القتلى هو الانتحاري الذي لا يزال مجهول الهوية، وقد تم التعرف على الضحية الآخر والطفلة البالغة من العمر 7 سنوات. وذكر شهود عيان أن الأجهزة الأمنية طوقت مكان الانفجار الذي وقع في شارع جمال وسط المدينة، وجرى نقل الجرحى إلى المستشفيات، فيما طالب حزب الإصلاح الأجهزة الأمنية بسرعة التحقيق والكشف عن ملابسات الحادثة.

Three people were killed, including a child, and 8 others were injured with varying degrees of wounds today (Thursday) in an explosion of a bomb in front of the headquarters of the Islah Party on Jamal Street in the city of Taiz, southwest Yemen.
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms reported eyewitness accounts stating that a motorcycle carrying its driver and another person along with a child arrived at the vicinity of the party's headquarters, and they had a battery and a small solar panel with them. It was clarified that the person dismounted and placed the battery on the ground, until a violent explosion occurred that shook the surrounding area, with indications suggesting that the bomb was planted inside the battery.

The network indicated that some of the injured are in critical condition, while security sources in Taiz stated that the majority of the wounded are school students, as the explosion coincided with their return home after finishing their mid-term exams.

It was noted that one of the deceased is the suicide bomber, whose identity remains unknown, while the other victim and the 7-year-old girl have been identified. Eyewitnesses mentioned that security forces cordoned off the explosion site, which occurred on Jamal Street in the city center, and the injured were transported to hospitals, while the Islah Party called on the security forces to quickly investigate and reveal the circumstances of the incident.
