قال الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون أمس (الثلاثاء) في خطابه أمام الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة إن السعودية أقنعت الكثيرين بالتوقيع على إعلان نيويورك لدعم حل الدولتين.
وأشار ماكرون إلى أن 142 دولة عضواً في الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة يطالبون بوقف إطلاق النار في غزة.
وأكد ماكرون أن الاستقرار لن يتحقق لإسرائيل في ظل مواصلتها انتهاك سيادة جيرانها.
كما حذر ماكرون من أن يسيطر على العلاقات الدولية نهج «البقاء للأقوى» قائلاً: «هذا هو الخطر الأكبر في عصرنا.. خطر أن يكون البقاء للأقوى. إنه خطر أن تسود أنانية القلّة».
وأضاف: «لن نرضخ لشريعة الغاب من قبل البعض في العالم».
وتابع ماكرون: «يجب احترام أحكام مؤسسات العدل الدولية وعدم تفعيل ازدواجية المعايير».
فيما شدد ماكرون على ضرورة «تعزيز صلاحيات لوائح المؤسسات الدولية الموجودة»، مضيفاً أن «المتصارعين في عدد من حروب العالم ينتهكون اتفاقيات جنيف الدولية».
وفي ما يتعلق بالشأن اللبناني ثمّن ماكرون في كلمته «قرار تمديد مهمات عمل بعثة قوات اليونيفيل في لبنان».
وأكد دعمه سحب سلاح «حزب الله» وتسليمه للجيش اللبناني.
وحول الحرب الأوكرانية، قال ماكرون: «أوكرانيا تريد السلام لا الحرب». مشيراً إلى أنه «حان الوقت لكي تقوم روسيا بوقف إطلاق النار في أوكرانيا».
وبالنسبة لحرب غزة قال ماكرون: «نريد إنهاء الحرب في غزة وصون حل الدولتين».
وفي ختام كلمته قال ماكرون إنه سيلتقي الرئيس الإيراني الأربعاء لبحث مسألة إعادة فرض عقوبات الأمم المتحدة على طهران، مضيفاً: «إما أن تقدم إيران على خطوة إيجابية وتسمح للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية بأداء عملها أو سيُعاد فرض العقوبات».
French President Emmanuel Macron said yesterday (Tuesday) in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly that Saudi Arabia has convinced many to sign the New York Declaration in support of the two-state solution.
Macron pointed out that 142 member states of the United Nations General Assembly are calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
He emphasized that stability will not be achieved for Israel as long as it continues to violate the sovereignty of its neighbors.
Macron also warned against the dominance of the "survival of the fittest" approach in international relations, stating: "This is the greatest danger of our time... the danger that survival belongs to the strongest. It is a danger that the selfishness of the few prevails."
He added: "We will not submit to the law of the jungle imposed by some in the world."
Macron continued: "The rulings of international justice institutions must be respected, and double standards should not be activated."
He stressed the necessity of "enhancing the powers of existing international institutional frameworks," adding that "the combatants in several world wars are violating international Geneva agreements."
Regarding the Lebanese issue, Macron praised in his speech the "decision to extend the mission of the UNIFIL forces in Lebanon."
He confirmed his support for the disarmament of "Hezbollah" and its handover to the Lebanese army.
On the Ukrainian war, Macron said: "Ukraine wants peace, not war," noting that "it is time for Russia to cease fire in Ukraine."
As for the Gaza war, Macron stated: "We want to end the war in Gaza and preserve the two-state solution."
In conclusion, Macron said he would meet with the Iranian president on Wednesday to discuss the issue of reinstating United Nations sanctions on Tehran, adding: "Either Iran takes a positive step and allows the International Atomic Energy Agency to do its work, or sanctions will be reinstated."
