ندد نائب الرئيس الفلسطيني، حسين الشيخ، بقرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي منع وصول الوفد العربي الإسلامي إلى رام الله، واصفاً إياه بـ«التصعيد الخطير» الذي يعبر عن سلوك متعجرف واستفزازي وغير مسبوق.
وأكد الشيخ أن السلطة الفلسطينية تدرس مع الأشقاء العرب كيفية الرد على قرار المنع الإسرائيلي.
من جهة أخرى، نددت وزارة الخارجية الأردنية في بيان على حسابها بـ«إكس» بمنع أعضاء في اللجنة الوزارية المكلّفة من القمة العربية الإسلامية الاستثنائية المشتركة بشأن غزة من زيارة الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس في رام الله، مؤكدة أن الوفد وصل إلى عمّان مساء اليوم في زيارة كانت تهدف إلى عقد اجتماع تنسيقي قُبَيل زيارة كانت مقررة إلى رام الله انطلاقًا من عمّان غداً (الأحد).
وأشارت الوزارة في بيان إلى أن اللجنة قررت تأجيل الزيارة إلى رام الله في ضوء تعطيل إسرائيل لها من خلال رفض دخول الوفد عبر أجواء الضفة الغربية المحتلة التي تسيطر عليها إسرائيل.
ويضم الوفد رئيس اللجنة وزير الخارجية السعودي الأمير فيصل بن فرحان آل سعود، ووزير خارجية البحرين عبد اللطيف بن راشد الزياني ووزير خارجية مصر بدر عبد العاطي، وأمين عام جامعة الدول العربية أحمد أبو الغيط، إضافةً إلى نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي، الذي يلتقي نظراءه مساء اليوم وغداً.
وأكد بيان الوفد في موقف مشترك اليوم أن قرار إسرائيل منعه من زيارة رام الله ولقاء الرئيس رئيس دولة فلسطين محمود عباس، والمسؤولين الفلسطينيين يمثّل خرقاً فاضحاً لالتزامات إسرائيل بصفتها القوة القائمة بالاحتلال، ويعكس حجم غطرسة الحكومة الإسرائيلية، وعدم اكتراثها بالقانون الدولي، واستمرارها في إجراءاتها وسياساتها اللا شرعية التي تحاصر الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق وقيادته الشرعية، وتكرس الاحتلال، وتقوّض فرص تحقيق السلام العادل والشامل.

The Palestinian Vice President, Hussein Sheikh, condemned the Israeli occupation's decision to prevent the Arab Islamic delegation from reaching Ramallah, describing it as a "serious escalation" that reflects an arrogant, provocative, and unprecedented behavior.
Sheikh confirmed that the Palestinian Authority is discussing with Arab brothers how to respond to the Israeli ban decision.
On the other hand, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in a statement on its account on "X" the prevention of members of the ministerial committee tasked by the extraordinary joint Arab Islamic summit regarding Gaza from visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, affirming that the delegation arrived in Amman this evening for a visit that aimed to hold a coordinating meeting prior to a planned visit to Ramallah starting from Amman tomorrow (Sunday).
The ministry indicated in its statement that the committee decided to postpone the visit to Ramallah in light of Israel's obstruction of it by refusing to allow the delegation to enter through the airspace of the occupied West Bank, which is controlled by Israel.
The delegation includes the committee's chairman, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti, and Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in addition to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, who will meet with his counterparts this evening and tomorrow.
The delegation's statement today emphasized in a joint position that Israel's decision to prevent it from visiting Ramallah and meeting with the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian officials represents a blatant violation of Israel's obligations as the occupying power, reflecting the extent of the Israeli government's arrogance, its disregard for international law, and its continuation of illegal measures and policies that besiege the Palestinian brotherly people and their legitimate leadership, entrench the occupation, and undermine the chances of achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
