يصل إلى دمشق غدا (الأربعاء) وفد من رجال الأعمال والمستثمرين السعوديين من مختلف القطاعات، بهدف استكشاف فرص التعاون المشترك، وتوقيع اتفاقيات تسهم في تعزيز التنمية المستدامة، وخدمة المصالح الاقتصادية بين سورية والمملكة العربية السعودية.
وأوضح مدير الاتصال الحكومي في وزارة الاقتصاد والصناعة السورية قاسم كامل في تصريح لـ«سانا»، أن برنامج الزيارة يتضمن تنظيم منتدى استثماري سوري سعودي، يجمع رجال الأعمال السعوديين بنظرائهم من رجال الأعمال والصناعيين السوريين، بهدف إجراء نقاشات مفتوحة، حول إمكانية التعاون المشترك، وإقامة مشاريع في مختلف القطاعات، تسهم في تطوير العلاقات الاقتصادية الثنائية، وتفتح آفاقاً جديدة للتعاون بين البلدين.
كما يتضمن برنامج الزيارة، إطلاق مشروع مصنع فيحاء للأسمنت الأبيض في مدينة عدرا الصناعية بريف دمشق، في إطار دعم قطاع الأسمنت وتوسيع قاعدة الإنتاج، بما يدعم مرحلة إعادة الإعمار القادمة في سورية.
ومن المقرر أن تشهد الزيارة إعلان عدد من الصفقات والمشاريع المشتركة، إضافة إلى توقيع مذكرات تفاهم بين الجانبين في مجالات متعددة.
وكانت وزارة الاستثمار السعودية أعلنت في وقت سابق اليوم عن ترتيب زيارة عمل إلى سورية، بالتنسيق مع اتحاد الغرف السعودية، يشارك فيها وفد كبير من ممثلي القطاعين العام والخاص، بهدف تسهيل خطوات استكشاف فرص الاستثمار، وتذليل العقبات أمام رجال الأعمال والمستثمرين، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الشقيقين.
A delegation of Saudi businessmen and investors from various sectors is set to arrive in Damascus tomorrow (Wednesday) with the aim of exploring opportunities for joint cooperation and signing agreements that contribute to enhancing sustainable development and serving the economic interests between Syria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Qassem Kamel, the Director of Government Communication at the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Trade, stated in a statement to "SANA" that the visit's program includes organizing a Syrian-Saudi investment forum, bringing together Saudi businessmen with their Syrian counterparts, aimed at conducting open discussions about the possibility of joint cooperation and establishing projects in various sectors that contribute to developing bilateral economic relations and opening new horizons for cooperation between the two countries.
The visit's program also includes the launch of the Al-Fayha White Cement Factory project in the Adra Industrial City in the countryside of Damascus, as part of supporting the cement sector and expanding the production base, which will support the upcoming reconstruction phase in Syria.
The visit is expected to witness the announcement of several joint deals and projects, in addition to signing memorandums of understanding between the two sides in various fields.
Earlier today, the Saudi Ministry of Investment announced the arrangement of a working visit to Syria, in coordination with the Saudi Chambers of Commerce, involving a large delegation of representatives from both the public and private sectors, aimed at facilitating steps to explore investment opportunities and overcoming obstacles for businessmen and investors, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two brotherly countries.
