The pilgrims bid farewell to the plains of Mina on the thirteenth of Dhul-Hijjah after completing their rituals and fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam, carrying with them the most beautiful memories, all hoping to return to their homelands with their sins and transgressions forgiven, as if they were born anew.
The story of bidding farewell to Mina remains etched in the memories of the pilgrims, for every moment, minute, place, and spot in the sacred sites was filled with beautiful memories and stories they lived through acts of worship, remembrance, and devotion to Allah. They shed tears and expressed their emotions, driven by hope and fear in front of their Lord, the Most Merciful, with aspirations for the acceptance of their rituals and the forgiveness of their sins.
The sight of buses and cars leaving Mina is awe-inspiring, as the Jamarat Bridge witnessed the influx of crowds of pilgrims in moving waves at the conclusion of their rituals, crowned by the stoning of the Jamarat before departing the majestic site towards the Sacred Mosque, with a smooth organization managed by a comprehensive operational system involving several entities, including crowd management, security, health care, and medical assistance. They worked under high temperatures to serve the guests of the Most Merciful, who were surrounded by security care from all directions; helicopters and reconnaissance flights continuously monitored the airspace from the sacred sites to the vicinity of the ancient house, while surveillance cameras were distributed among the leadership and monitoring rooms under the watchful eyes of diligent personnel, tracking all movements from the sacred sites to Mecca.
The camps in Mina were empty of their inhabitants, enveloped in sadness during the farewell moments, with only remnants of their memories left behind, as the pilgrims headed towards the Grand Mosque to perform the farewell Tawaf, which is the last ritual of Hajj, before departing from Mecca.
