بتوجيه من وزير الدفاع الأمير خالد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وقف رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة الفريق الأول الركن فياض بن حامد الرويلي، اليوم، على جاهزية وحدات القوات المسلحة المشاركة في مهمة الحج، في إطار دعم جهود الأجهزة الأمنية والجهات الحكومية لضمان أمن وسلامة ضيوف الرحمن.
واستهل رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة جولته الميدانية بتفقد مجموعة القوات الجوية في مطار عرفات، حيث كان في استقباله مدير الأركان المشتركة للقوات المسلحة رئيس اللجنة الإشرافية للحج في وزارة الدفاع اللواء الطيار الركن حامد بن رافع العمري، وقائد وحدات القوات المسلحة المشاركة في مهمة الحج اللواء الركن خالد بن سعيد الشيبة، وعدد من كبار ضباط القوات المسلحة.
واستمع رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة إلى إيجاز مفصل حول مهمات المجموعة واستعداداتها لتقديم الدعم والإسناد الجوي، في إطار الخطط التشغيلية لوزارة الدفاع خلال موسم الحج.
عقب ذلك، زار مقر قيادة وحدات القوات المسلحة المشاركة في الحج بمنطقة العوالي، حيث قُدِّم له شرح مفصل عن مهمات القيادة وآليات التنسيق والتكامل بين الوحدات المختلفة.
ثم توجَّه إلى مخيمات وزارة الدفاع المُخصصة لضيوفها من منسوبيها، وذوي الشهداء والمصابين من القوات المسلحة السعودية والقوات اليمنية، إضافة إلى كبار القادة العسكريين في الدول الشقيقة والصديقة، والملحقين العسكريين المعتمدين لدى المملكة، حيث اطَّلع على التجهيزات والخدمات المقدمة لضيوف الرحمن.
كما زار مقر الإدارة العامة للشؤون الدينية للقوات المسلحة، واستمع إلى إيجاز عن دور الإدارة، والبرامج الإرشادية والتوعوية التي تقدمها، والموجهة لحجاج الوزارة وضيوفها.
بعد ذلك، وقف رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة على المستشفى الميداني التابع للخدمات الصحية بوزارة الدفاع في مشعر عرفات، حيث اطَّلع على تجهيزاته الطبية المتقدمة، والتقى الكوادر الطبية والصحية العاملة فيه، مثمناً جهودهم في تقديم الرعاية الصحية النوعية لضيوف الرحمن.
واختتم رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة جولته الميدانية باستعراض الوحدات المشاركة في ميدان قوة الواجب في المغمس، حيث اطَّلع على الخطط العملياتية والتنظيمية المعتمدة لضمان أمن الحجاج وسلامتهم خلال تنقلهم وأداء مناسكهم.
وألقى رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة كلمة بهذه المناسبة، نقل خلالها تحيات وتقدير وزير الدفاع، مشيداً بمستوى الجاهزية والانضباط الذي يتمتع به منسوبو القوات المسلحة، ومؤكداً أن أمن الحج والحجيج أولوية وطنية لا يُتهاون فيها.
وأشار رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة إلى أن مشاركة وزارة الدفاع تأتي في إطار ما توليه قيادة المملكة من عناية واهتمام بخدمة ضيوف الرحمن، وبما يعكس مستوى الجاهزية الشاملة والتكامل مع الأجهزة الأمنية والجهات الحكومية الأخرى، لضمان سلامة ضيوف الرحمن، وتيسير أدائهم المناسك بيسر وطمأنينة.
وتتنوع مشاركة وزارة الدفاع في موسم الحج ضمن خطة شاملة تشمل الجوانب الأمنية، والتنظيمية، والصحية، إذ تشارك القوات البرية ممثلة في الشرطة العسكرية الخاصة، في تنظيم الحشود وتأمين المواقع الحيوية بالمشاعر، دعماً لجهود وزارة الداخلية، كما تُسهم في التفويج وتنظيم الحركة في نقاط العبور الرئيسية.
وتقدم القوات الجوية دعماً جوياً متقدماً يشمل المراقبة والاستطلاع وتأمين الأجواء فوق المشاعر المقدسة، كما تشارك القوات البحرية في تأمين المنافذ البحرية والتعامل مع المواد المشبوهة، وتدعم جهود الإنقاذ عبر فرق الغوص، إلى جانب إسهامها بوحدات متخصصة من المشاة والطيران المسيّر.
وفي الجانب الصحي، تنفذ الخدمات الصحية بوزارة الدفاع خطة طبية متكاملة تشمل تشغيل 36 مقراً صحياً بطاقة استيعابية تفوق 1040 سريراً، عبر بعثة تضم أكثر من 1790 كادراً صحياً وإدارياً، موزعين على المستشفيات والعيادات الميدانية في المشاعر المقدسة.
Under the guidance of Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili today reviewed the readiness of the armed forces units participating in the Hajj mission, as part of supporting the efforts of security agencies and government entities to ensure the safety and security of the guests of Allah.
The Chief of General Staff began his field tour by inspecting the group of air forces at Arafat Airport, where he was received by the Director of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for Hajj at the Ministry of Defense, Major General Pilot Hamid bin Rafi Al-Omari, and the Commander of the Armed Forces units participating in the Hajj mission, Major General Khalid bin Said Al-Shaiba, along with several senior officers of the armed forces.
The Chief of General Staff listened to a detailed briefing about the group's missions and preparations to provide air support and assistance, as part of the operational plans of the Ministry of Defense during the Hajj season.
Following that, he visited the headquarters of the Armed Forces units participating in Hajj in the Al-Awali area, where he was given a detailed explanation of the leadership's missions and the mechanisms for coordination and integration among the different units.
He then proceeded to the Ministry of Defense's camps designated for its guests, including the families of martyrs and the injured from the Saudi Armed Forces and the Yemeni forces, in addition to senior military leaders from brotherly and friendly countries, and military attaches accredited to the Kingdom, where he reviewed the preparations and services provided to the guests of Allah.
He also visited the headquarters of the General Administration for Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces, where he listened to a briefing about the administration's role, and the guidance and awareness programs it offers, directed at the ministry's pilgrims and its guests.
After that, the Chief of General Staff visited the field hospital affiliated with the Health Services of the Ministry of Defense in the Arafat area, where he reviewed its advanced medical facilities and met with the medical and health personnel working there, appreciating their efforts in providing quality healthcare to the guests of Allah.
The Chief of General Staff concluded his field tour by reviewing the participating units in the Duty Force field in Al-Mughamis, where he was briefed on the operational and organizational plans approved to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims during their movements and rituals.
The Chief of General Staff delivered a speech on this occasion, conveying the greetings and appreciation of the Minister of Defense, praising the level of readiness and discipline exhibited by the armed forces personnel, and emphasizing that the security of Hajj and the pilgrims is a national priority that cannot be compromised.
The Chief of General Staff indicated that the participation of the Ministry of Defense comes within the framework of the care and attention that the leadership of the Kingdom gives to serving the guests of Allah, reflecting the level of comprehensive readiness and integration with security agencies and other government entities, to ensure the safety of the guests of Allah and facilitate their performance of rituals with ease and reassurance.
The participation of the Ministry of Defense during the Hajj season varies within a comprehensive plan that includes security, organizational, and health aspects. The ground forces, represented by the Special Military Police, participate in crowd management and securing vital sites in the holy sites, supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, and also contribute to the flow and organization of movement at the main crossing points.
The air forces provide advanced air support that includes surveillance and reconnaissance and securing the airspace above the holy sites, while the naval forces participate in securing maritime ports and dealing with suspicious materials, and support rescue efforts through diving teams, in addition to contributing specialized units from infantry and unmanned aerial vehicles.
In the health sector, the Health Services of the Ministry of Defense implement a comprehensive medical plan that includes operating 36 health facilities with a capacity exceeding 1,040 beds, through a mission comprising more than 1,790 health and administrative personnel, distributed across hospitals and field clinics in the holy sites.
