توقّع المركز الوطني للأرصاد في تقريره عن حالة الطقس هذا اليوم (الأحد) هطول أمطار رعدية متوسطة إلى غزيرة تؤدي إلى جريان السيول مصحوبة بزخات من البرد ورياح نشطة على أجزاء من منطقتي جازان وعسير، وتكون خفيفة إلى متوسطة على أجزاء من منطقتي نجران والباحة والأجزاء الجنوبية من مرتفعات منطقة مكة المكرمة.
ويبقى الطقس حاراً إلى شديد الحرارة على المنطقة الشرقية، وعلى أجزاء من مناطق الرياض والقصيم والحدود الشمالية، كما تؤثر الرياح النشطة المثيرة للأتربة والغبار على أجزاء من تلك المناطق، وكذلك على أجزاء من منطقتي المدينة المنورة ومكة المكرمة، تصل إلى انعدام أو شبه انعدام في مدى الرؤية الأفقية على الأجزاء الساحلية منها، وتمتد تأثيرها لتشمل الطريق الساحلي الواصل إلى جازان.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن حركة الرياح السطحية على البحر الأحمر شمالية غربية إلى غربية بسرعة 15-30 كم/ساعة على الجزء الشمالي وبسرعة 20-45 كم/ساعة على الجزء الأوسط، وجنوبية غربية إلى شمالية غربية بسرعة 15-45 كم/ساعة تصل إلى 55 كم/ساعة مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة على الجزء الجنوبي وارتفاع الموج من نصف المتر إلى متر ونصف على الجزء الشمالي، ومن متر ونصف إلى مترين ونصف على الجزء الأوسط والجنوبي يصل إلى أعلى من مترين ونصف مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة على الجزء الجنوبي. حالة البحر خفيف إلى متوسط الموج على الجزء الشمالي ومتوسط الموج إلى مائج على الجزء الأوسط والجنوبي.
فيما ستكون حركة الرياح على الخليج العربي شمالية غربية إلى غربية بسرعة 15-35 كم/ساعة على الجزء الشمالي والأوسط، وجنوبية غربية إلى شمالية غربية تتحول خلال المساء إلى شمالية شرقية إلى جنوبية شرقية بسرعة 10-25 كم/ساعة على الجزء الجنوبي وارتفاع الموج من نصف المتر إلى متر وحالة البحر خفيف الموج.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its weather report for today (Sunday) moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to the flow of torrents, accompanied by showers of hail and active winds in parts of the Jazan and Asir regions, with light to moderate rain in parts of the Najran and Al-Baha regions and the southern parts of the mountainous areas of the Makkah region.
The weather remains hot to very hot in the Eastern region, and in parts of the Riyadh, Qassim, and Northern Borders regions, while active winds stirring up dust and sand affect parts of those areas, as well as parts of the Medina and Makkah regions, reaching near zero or almost zero visibility in the coastal areas, and extending their effects to include the coastal road leading to Jazan.
The report indicated that the surface wind movement over the Red Sea is northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 15-30 km/h in the northern part and at a speed of 20-45 km/h in the central part, and southwesterly to northwesterly at a speed of 15-45 km/h reaching 55 km/h with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part. The wave height ranges from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, and from one and a half meters to two and a half meters in the central and southern parts, exceeding two and a half meters with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part. The sea condition is light to moderate waves in the northern part and moderate to rough waves in the central and southern parts.
As for the wind movement over the Arabian Gulf, it is northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 15-35 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southwesterly to northwesterly, shifting during the evening to northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 10-25 km/h in the southern part, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter, and the sea condition is light waves.
