Several thinkers have pointed out that security is a prerequisite for development; Aristotle believed that the primary function of the state is to achieve safety, while Ibn Khaldun emphasized that human civilization can only thrive in the absence of fear and the establishment of tranquility. This statement is clearly reflected in the experience of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in recent decades, where the Saudi leadership places security at the forefront of its developmental priorities.

In light of global geopolitical upheavals and increasing regional challenges, the Kingdom has signed a joint defense agreement with Pakistan, a trusted ally and member of the nuclear club. This step carries strategic dimensions that go beyond military cooperation to enhance the investment climate, as it provides an additional security umbrella that supports confidence in the Saudi economy and affirms the leadership's proactive approach in dealing with international changes.

This step extends the approach of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and is under the umbrella of the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is leading the ambitious economic transformation project. Development aimed at diversifying the economy and attracting massive investments must be based on strong security guarantees, whether through defense alliances or through investment in all sectors, including military technology, e-governance, artificial intelligence, and tourism.

It is well known that capital always seeks the most stable environment and avoids areas of doubt and uncertainty. Thus, enhancing the defensive dimension of Saudi Arabia directly reflects on the decisions of local and international investors and places the Kingdom in a better position to continue leading the regional economy and even competing globally in the sectors of energy, technology, and financial services.

The defense alliance with Pakistan is not just a bilateral agreement but part of a comprehensive strategy that places security at the heart of development and redefines the equation of the Saudi economy on more solid foundations.
