باغت نوع عدواني من السرطان مقدّم برامج السيارات الشهير جيريمي كلاركسون، ليكشف بنفسه عن التشخيص خلال إحدى حلقات برنامجه الوثائقي (مزرعة كلاركسون).
المفاجأة لم تكن في المرض فحسب، بل في الطريقة الهادئة التي أعلن بها الخبر لزميليه تشارلي أيرلندا وكاليب كوبر قائلاً: «لقد أُصبت بالسرطان… إنه عدواني، لكن اكتشفناه مبكرًا جدًا».
كلاركسون، البالغ 66 عامًا، الذي ارتبط اسمه عالميًا ببرنامجي (Top Gear) و(The Grand Tour)، نشر لاحقًا مقطع فيديو على حسابه في إنستغرام، ملمّحًا إلى أن الحلقات المقبلة من برنامجه تحمل «أخبارًا قاتمة»، في إشارة واضحة إلى تطورات وضعه الصحي.
المرض الجديد يأتي بعد أشهر من أزمة قلبية خطيرة مرّ بها في أكتوبر 2024، حين كتب في عموده بصحيفة (صنداي تايمز) عن ليلة شعر فيها بـ«تعرق بارد وضيق في الصدر»، قبل أن يخضع لعملية جراحية لضمان استمرار تدفق الدم إلى قلبه. تلك الحادثة أثارت حينها قلق جمهوره، لكنها لم تمنعه من مواصلة تصوير برنامجه الريفي الذي حقق نجاحًا واسعًا.
لم يُصدر، حتى الآن، أي بيان رسمي بشأن مستقبل الموسم السادس من (مزرعة كلاركسون)، ما يترك الباب مفتوحًا أمام تساؤلات حول قدرة المقدم البريطاني على الاستمرار في العمل خلال فترة علاجه.
ورغم صراحته المعتادة، بدا كلاركسون هذه المرة أكثر هدوءًا وواقعية، مؤكدًا أن اكتشاف المرض في مرحلة مبكرة يمنحه فرصة قوية للعلاج، بينما يواصل جمهوره حول العالم إرسال رسائل الدعم والتمنيات بالشفاء.

An aggressive type of cancer has surprised the famous car show presenter Jeremy Clarkson, who revealed the diagnosis himself during an episode of his documentary series (Clarkson's Farm).
The surprise was not just in the illness, but in the calm manner in which he announced the news to his colleagues Charlie Ireland and Caleb Cooper, saying: "I have cancer... It's aggressive, but we caught it very early."
Clarkson, 66, who is globally associated with the shows (Top Gear) and (The Grand Tour), later posted a video on his Instagram account, hinting that upcoming episodes of his show carry "grim news," a clear reference to developments in his health condition.
The new illness comes after months of a serious heart crisis he experienced in October 2024, when he wrote in his column for (The Sunday Times) about a night he felt "cold sweats and chest tightness," before undergoing surgery to ensure blood continued to flow to his heart. That incident raised concerns among his audience at the time, but it did not stop him from continuing to film his successful rural show.
No official statement has been issued yet regarding the future of season six of (Clarkson's Farm), leaving the door open to questions about the British presenter’s ability to continue working during his treatment.
Despite his usual frankness, Clarkson seemed this time more calm and realistic, confirming that discovering the illness at an early stage gives him a strong chance for treatment, while his audience around the world continues to send messages of support and wishes for recovery.
