فيما ندد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش بالضربة الإسرائيلية على الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، هددت إيران بردّ وشيك على الهجوم الإسرائيلي.
وذكرت وكالة «فارس» للأنباء، اليوم، أن الرد الإيراني على الهجوم الإسرائيلي ضد الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت بات وشيكاً.
وفي المقابل، ذكرت صحيفة «يديعوت أحرونوت» الإسرائيلية أن طهران قد تمتنع عن مهاجمة إسرائيل كبادرة حسن نية للرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، مقابل الحصول على «تنازلات» في الاتفاق المرتقب بين الجانبين.
وقال ترمب في تصريحات لشبكة «فوكس نيوز»، في وقت سابق، إنه سيطلب من إيران عدم قصف إسرائيل رداً على قصفها الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت.
وأوضح ترمب أن الهجوم الإسرائيلي على بيروت كان يمكن تجنبه، لا سيما في «يوم مميز» بينما كان التوصل إلى اتفاق مع إيران وشيكاً.
وقال المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني إن الرد على الضربة الإسرائيلية التي استهدفت الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت سيكون وشيكاً، مؤكداً أن طهران لن تتسامح مع ما وصفه بتجاوز «الخطوط الحمراء» الإيرانية.
وفي السياق ذاته، توعد نائب قائد مقر خاتم الأنبياء محمد جعفر أسدي بعدم تمرير الهجوم الإسرائيلي على الضاحية دون رد.
في المقابل، استبعدت صحيفة «يديعوت أحرونوت» الإسرائيلية أي هجوم إيراني على إسرائيل، موضحة أن طهران قد تمتنع عن الرد كبادرة حسن نية للرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، مقابل الحصول على تنازلات في الاتفاق المرتقب بين الجانبين.
من جهتها، أفادت الوكالة الوطنية اللبنانية للإعلام بسقوط شخصين في غارة إسرائيلية بطائرة مسيّرة استهدفت أحد البساتين في قضاء صور جنوب البلاد.
في الوقت ذاته، دان الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش الضربات الإسرائيلية على الضاحية الجنوبية في بيروت، موضحاً أنها وقعت رغم وقف إطلاق النار، وفي وقت تتزايد التوقعات بالتوصل إلى اتفاق بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران لحل سلمي للنزاع.
وأكد أن هذا التصعيد له تأثير مدمر على الاستقرار الإقليمي والاقتصاد العالمي، مطالباً جميع الأطراف بضبط النفس في هذه اللحظة الحاسمة.
وأعرب الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة عن أمله في أن تُكلل الجهود الأمريكية والإيرانية المبذولة حالياً بالنجاح.

The Fars news agency reported today that the Iranian response to the Israeli attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut is imminent.
In contrast, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Tehran might refrain from attacking Israel as a goodwill gesture to US President Donald Trump, in exchange for receiving "concessions" in the anticipated agreement between the two sides.
Trump stated in remarks to Fox News earlier that he would ask Iran not to bomb Israel in response to its bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Trump clarified that the Israeli attack on Beirut could have been avoided, especially on a "special day" when an agreement with Iran was imminent.
The Iranian Supreme National Security Council stated that the response to the Israeli strike targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut would be imminent, emphasizing that Tehran would not tolerate what it described as crossing "Iranian red lines."
In the same context, the deputy commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, Mohammad Jafar Asadi, vowed not to let the Israeli attack on the suburbs go unanswered.
On the other hand, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth ruled out any Iranian attack on Israel, explaining that Tehran might refrain from responding as a goodwill gesture to US President Donald Trump, in exchange for receiving concessions in the anticipated agreement between the two sides.
For its part, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that two people were killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting one of the orchards in the Tyre district in the south of the country.
At the same time, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the Israeli strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, clarifying that they occurred despite the ceasefire and at a time when expectations were rising for an agreement between the United States and Iran for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
He affirmed that this escalation has a devastating impact on regional stability and the global economy, calling on all parties to exercise restraint at this critical moment.
The UN Secretary-General expressed hope that the current US and Iranian efforts would be successful.
