تسببت الأمطار الغزيرة التي ضربت العاصمة الصينية في مقتل 30 شخصا، فيما أعلنت السلطات إجلاء أكثر من 80 ألفا من سكان المدينة، بحسب ما أفادت وكالة أنباء الصين الرسمية (شينخوا)، اليوم (الثلاثاء).
وقالت الوكالة إن كمية الأمطار التي هطلت على المناطق الشمالية من بكين خلال هذه الموجة بلغت 543.4 مليمتر، ما أدى إلى فيضانات جارفة تركزت في المناطق الجبلية شمال المدينة والتي سجلت أعلى عدد من الضحايا.
وذكرت أن 80 ألفا و332 شخصا تم إجلاؤهم من العاصمة حتى الآن، في وقت أعلنت حالة الطوارئ بعد أن قطعت مياه الأمطار عشرات الطرق، وتسببت في انقطاع التيار الكهربائي عن أكثر من 130 قرية في محيط العاصمة.
وتحدثت صحيفة «بيجينغ ديلي» الرسمية، عن أضرار بالغة ضربت أحياء مي يون وهوايرو شمال العاصمة، وحي فانغ شان جنوب غرب المدينة. وأكدت تضرر البنية التحتية في تلك المناطق بشكل واسع، مع انهيارات أرضية وإغلاق شبكات الطرق.
ودعت السلطات السكان إلى توخي الحذر، وتجنّب التوجه إلى المناطق عالية الخطورة إلا للضرورة القصوى.
وفي مواجهة الكارثة، أمر الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ مساء الإثنين، السلطات المحلية ببذل جهود بحث وإنقاذ شاملة لتقليل الخسائر البشرية والمادية، مشددا على ضرورة تسريع عمليات الإغاثة وإيواء المتضررين في المناطق الأكثر تعرضا لخطر الفيضانات.
ونقلت وكالة «شينخوا» عن الرئيس الصيني قوله: إن الفيضانات والكوارث الطبيعية الأخيرة أسفرت عن خسائر بشرية ومادية كبيرة في مناطق واسعة مثل بكين، خبي، جيلين، وشاندونغ.
ولا تزال عمليات البحث والإنقاذ جارية حتى اللحظة، وسط تحذيرات من استمرار هطول الأمطار خلال الأيام القادمة، واحتمال تفاقم الوضع في المناطق الجبلية وضفاف الأنهار.
وتجيء هذه الكارثة ضمن الأحوال الجوية القاسية التي تضرب شمال الصين أخيرا، ما يثير مخاوف من اتساع رقعة الفيضانات وتكرار الأزمات المناخية بفعل تغيّر أنماط الطقس.

The heavy rains that struck the Chinese capital have resulted in the deaths of 30 people, while authorities announced the evacuation of more than 80,000 residents of the city, according to the official Xinhua News Agency today (Tuesday).
The agency reported that the amount of rain that fell on northern areas of Beijing during this wave reached 543.4 millimeters, leading to devastating floods concentrated in the mountainous regions north of the city, which recorded the highest number of casualties.
It mentioned that 80,332 people have been evacuated from the capital so far, as an emergency was declared after rainwater cut off dozens of roads and caused power outages in more than 130 villages surrounding the capital.
The official "Beijing Daily" reported severe damage affecting the districts of Miyun and Huairou north of the capital, and the Fangshan district southwest of the city. It confirmed extensive damage to infrastructure in those areas, with landslides and road network closures.
Authorities urged residents to exercise caution and to avoid heading to high-risk areas unless absolutely necessary.
In response to the disaster, Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered local authorities on Monday evening to undertake comprehensive search and rescue efforts to minimize human and material losses, emphasizing the need to accelerate relief operations and shelter those affected in the areas most at risk of flooding.
Xinhua reported the president as saying that the recent floods and natural disasters have caused significant human and material losses in wide areas such as Beijing, Hebei, Jilin, and Shandong.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing at this moment, amid warnings of continued rainfall over the coming days and the possibility of worsening conditions in mountainous areas and riverbanks.
