ويُعنى البرنامج، الذي جرى إعداده وفق أعلى المعايير الفنية في الإنتاج التلفزيوني، بإبراز شعر العرضة الجنوبية وجمالياته، بمشاركة نخبة من نجوم شعراء العرضة.

فن متوارث عبر الأجيال
ويُعرف فن «الشقر» أو ما يُطلق عليه في البلاغة «الجناس»، بوصفه موروثاً شعرياً تناقلته الأجيال، ويقوم عليه فن العرضة الجنوبية من خلال منافسات شعرية بين الشعراء في ميادين البدع والرد.
