رحلت عن عالمنا الفنانة السورية فدوى محسن عن عمر يناهز 84 عامًا، وفقًا لما أعلنت نقابة الفنانين في سورية عبر صفحتها الرسمية على «فيسبوك»، دون الكشف عن أسباب الوفاة.
ونعت النقابة الراحلة فدوى محسن مشيدة بمسيرتها الفنية الحافلة بالإنجازات، التي أثرت الذاكرة الجمعية وأسعدت الجماهير على امتداد الوطن العربي، مشيرة إلى أنها ستوافي الجمهور بتفاصيل موعد التشييع والدفن لاحقًا، لتمكينهم من توديعها وتقديم واجب العزاء.
يذكر أن فدوى محسن وُلدت في 26 فبراير 1941 بمدينة دير الزور، وبدأت مسيرتها الفنية في منتصف الثمانينات، ومن ثم حققت شهرة واسعة من خلال مشاركتها في مسلسل «طرابيش» عام 1992، الذي شكل نقطة انطلاقها الحقيقية.
وتعد فدوى محسن واحدة من أبرز الفنانات السوريات اللواتي ارتبطت أدوارهن في ذاكرة المشاهد السوري بحضور متنوع بين المسرح والتلفزيون، حيث شاركت في العديد من الأعمال الدرامية والسينمائية، أبرزها دورها في مسلسل «باب الحارة»، حيث جسدت شخصية «أم إبراهيم» في عدة أجزاء، التي أحبها الجمهور.
في السينما، ظهرت محسن في الفيلم السوري أمينة عام 2018، الذي عكس معاناة النساء في بيئات صعبة، وشاركت فيه إلى جانب الفنانة نادين خوري رغم حضورها المؤثر.
غابت فدوى محسن في السنوات الأخيرة عن بعض المواسم الدرامية لأسباب صحية وشخصية، واتسمت طريقة أداء فدوى محسن بالبساطة والواقعية، بعيداً عن التكلف أو المبالغة، متبعة مدرسة التمثيل القديمة التي نشأت عليها.

It is worth mentioning that Fadwa Mohsen was born on February 26, 1941, in Deir ez-Zor, and began her artistic career in the mid-1980s, later achieving wide fame through her participation in the series "Tarabeesh" in 1992, which marked her true breakthrough.
Fadwa Mohsen is considered one of the most prominent Syrian actresses whose roles are associated in the memory of the Syrian viewer with a diverse presence between theater and television, as she participated in many dramatic and cinematic works, most notably her role in the series "Bab Al-Hara," where she portrayed the character "Um Ibrahim" in several parts, which was beloved by the audience.
In cinema, Mohsen appeared in the Syrian film "Amina" in 2018, which reflected the struggles of women in difficult environments, and she participated alongside the artist Nadine Khouri despite her impactful presence.
Fadwa Mohsen has been absent from some drama seasons in recent years due to health and personal reasons, and her performance style was characterized by simplicity and realism, far from affectation or exaggeration, following the old school of acting she was raised on.
