تحوّلت عمليات تغيير لون العين لأغراض تجميلية إلى موضع تحذير رسمي في مصر، بعدما تلقت النقابة العامة للأطباء شكاوى ضد طبيب عيون بشأن إجراء هذا النوع من التدخلات، لتقرر النقابة استدعاءه للتحقيق أمام لجنة آداب المهنة، بالتزامن مع تأكيد الجمعية الرمدية المصرية رفضها التام لهذه الإجراءات بسبب مخاطرها المحتملة على صحة العين والإبصار.
شكاوى ضد طبيب بسبب تغيير لون العين
وقالت النقابة العامة لأطباء مصر إنها تلقت عدداً من الشكاوى ضد طبيب العيون «أ. أ»، تتعلق بإجراء عمليات لتغيير لون العين لأغراض تجميلية، سواء من خلال تفتيح لون القزحية باستخدام الليزر أو زراعة قزحية صناعية ملونة.
وفي أعقاب تلقي الشكاوى، تواصلت النقابة مع الجمعية الرمدية المصرية للحصول على الرأي العلمي المتخصص بشأن هذه الإجراءات، لتؤكد الجمعية أن موقفها من عمليات تغيير لون العين لأغراض تجميلية يقوم على الرفض التام.
وبناءً على هذا الموقف الطبي، قررت النقابة العامة للأطباء - بحسب بيان رسمي - استدعاء الطبيب للتحقيق أمام لجنة آداب المهنة، في إطار بحث الشكاوى والإجراءات الطبية محلها، ومدى توافقها مع القواعد المهنية والأخلاقية للممارسة الطبية.
تحذير من عمليات قد تهدد البصر
وأكدت الجمعية الرمدية المصرية أن تحذيرها من جراحات تغيير لون العين لأغراض تجميلية ليس جديداً، إذ سبق أن حذرت من هذه الإجراءات بشكل متكرر في نشراتها الدورية منذ فبراير ومارس 2023.
وأوضحت أن إجراء هذه العمليات قد يؤدي إلى مضاعفات خطيرة في العين، مشيرة إلى أن آثارها قد تصل في عدد من الحالات إلى فقدان البصر، ولذلك ترفض إجراءها عندما يكون الهدف تجميلياً بحتاً.
وأشارت الجمعية إلى أن الاستثناء يقتصر على حالات طبية محددة، من بينها وجود قرنية مشوهة في عين واحدة غير مبصرة، على أن يخضع الأمر لتقييم طبي متخصص، وهو ما يختلف عن تغيير لون العين السليمة لمجرد الحصول على مظهر جمالي معين.
ما عمليات تغيير لون العين؟
وتتم عمليات تغيير لون العين بعدة تقنيات، من بينها استخدام الليزر لتفتيح لون القزحية، أو زراعة قزحية صناعية ملونة بهدف تغيير المظهر الخارجي للعين.
إلا أن التحذيرات الطبية المصرية الحالية تستهدف هذه الإجراءات عندما تُجرى لأغراض تجميلية دون ضرورة طبية، في ظل ما قد تسببه من مضاعفات تؤثر على سلامة العين وقدرة المريض على الإبصار.
نقابة الأطباء تحذر من الإعلانات والعروض
ودعت نقابة أطباء مصر المواطنين إلى عدم الانسياق وراء الإعلانات أو العروض الترويجية التي تشجع على إجراء عمليات تغيير لون العين لأغراض تجميلية، وحثتهم على عدم الإقدام على هذه الإجراءات في ظل المخاطر المحتملة على صحة العين والإبصار.
كما وجهت النقابة رسالة إلى الأطباء بضرورة الالتزام بالمعايير العلمية والأخلاقية للممارسة الطبية، وعدم إجراء أو الترويج لأي تدخل طبي لا تثبت سلامته وفعاليته، ولا يستند إلى الأدلة الإرشادية العلمية والقواعد الطبية المستقرة.
وتأتي هذه التحذيرات في وقت تزايد فيه الاهتمام بإجراءات تجميلية تستهدف تغيير مظهر العين، ما دفع الجهات الطبية إلى التشديد على ضرورة التمييز بين التدخلات التي تستند إلى حاجة علاجية واضحة، وتلك التي تُجرى بهدف تجميلي فقط.
ويعود موقف الجمعية الرمدية المصرية الرافض لتغيير لون العين تجميلياً إلى تحذيرات صدرت عنها منذ عام 2023، وفق ما أكدته في موقفها الأخير، بينما أعادت النقابة العامة للأطباء فتح الملف بعد تلقيها شكاوى ضد الطبيب محل التحقيق.
ويأتي تدخل النقابة أيضاً في إطار مسؤوليتها المهنية المتعلقة ببحث الشكاوى ومراجعة مدى التزام الأطباء بالقواعد العلمية والأخلاقية للممارسة، فيما لا يعني قرار الاستدعاء وحده ثبوت مخالفة نهائية بحق الطبيب، إذ يخضع الأمر للتحقيق أمام الجهة المختصة.

Following the receipt of the complaints, the syndicate contacted the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society to obtain specialized scientific opinion regarding these procedures, confirming that the society's position on changing eye color for cosmetic purposes is one of complete rejection.
Based on this medical stance, the General Medical Syndicate - according to an official statement - decided to summon the doctor for investigation before the Professional Ethics Committee, as part of examining the complaints and the medical procedures in question, and their compliance with professional and ethical standards of medical practice.
Warning Against Procedures That May Threaten Vision
The Egyptian Ophthalmological Society confirmed that its warning against surgeries to change eye color for cosmetic purposes is not new, as it has repeatedly warned against these procedures in its periodic bulletins since February and March 2023.
It explained that performing these operations may lead to serious complications in the eye, noting that in some cases, the consequences could result in vision loss. Therefore, it rejects performing them when the sole purpose is purely cosmetic.
The society pointed out that exceptions are limited to specific medical cases, including the presence of a deformed cornea in a non-seeing eye, provided that the matter is subject to specialized medical evaluation, which differs from changing the color of a healthy eye merely to achieve a certain aesthetic appearance.
What Are Eye Color Change Procedures?
Eye color change procedures are performed using several techniques, including using lasers to lighten the iris color or implanting a colored artificial iris to change the external appearance of the eye.
However, the current Egyptian medical warnings target these procedures when performed for cosmetic purposes without medical necessity, given the potential complications that may affect the safety of the eye and the patient's ability to see.
The Syndicate Warns Against Advertisements and Promotions
The Egyptian Medical Syndicate urged citizens not to be swayed by advertisements or promotional offers that encourage undergoing eye color change operations for cosmetic purposes, urging them not to proceed with these procedures in light of the potential risks to eye health and vision.
The syndicate also sent a message to doctors emphasizing the need to adhere to scientific and ethical standards in medical practice, and not to perform or promote any medical intervention that is not proven to be safe and effective, and that does not rely on established scientific guidelines and medical standards.
These warnings come at a time when there is an increasing interest in cosmetic procedures aimed at changing the appearance of the eye, prompting medical authorities to stress the importance of distinguishing between interventions based on a clear therapeutic need and those performed solely for cosmetic purposes.
