شهد وزير الثقافة رئيس مجلس إدارة الصندوق الثقافي الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان، توقيع الصندوق خلال مؤتمر الاستثمار الثقافي، الذي تنظمه وزارة الثقافة بمركز الملك فهد الثقافي في الرياض اتفاقية تأسيس ثاني صندوق استثماري خاص في قطاع الأفلام بالمملكة، برأسمال يبلغ 375 مليون ريال بإدارة من بي أس أف كابيتال، ومساهمة من الصندوق الثقافي بصفته مستثمرا رئيسيا، بالتعاون مع أبرز شركات صناعة الأفلام عالميًا.
ويهدف الصندوق إلى تعزيز استثمارات قطاع الأفلام، وتوسيع آفاقه محليًا وعالميًا، مستهدفًا الاستثمار في المنشآت والمشاريع النوعية والمبتكرة في قطاع الأفلام داخل المملكة وخارجها؛ بما في ذلك المنشآت العاملة في إنتاج وتوزيع الأفلام، وتطوير البُنية التحتية للقطاع، وذلك وفق أفضل الممارسات العالمية في إدارة الأصول والمخاطر.
ويعدُّ هذا الصندوق ثاني صندوقٍ استثماري في قطاع الأفلام يشارك فيه الصندوق الثقافي مستثمرا رئيسيا، وذلك بعد صندوق ريفيرا كونتنت -الصندوق السعودي للأفلام سابقًا؛ ليصل بذلك إجمالي حجم الصندوقين إلى 750 مليون ريال، الذي يجسد بذلك جاذبية السينما السعودية، والمقومات الاستثمارية الواعدة التي تملكها.
ويجسد إسهام الصندوق الثقافي في هذا الاستثمار دوره بوصفه مركزًا للتميّز والتمكين المالي للقطاع الثقافي، من خلال ابتكار حلول مالية تعزز استدامة نمو القطاع اقتصاديًا واجتماعيًا وتحفّز الاستثمار فيه، انسجامًا مع الإستراتيجية الوطنية للثقافة تحت مظلة رؤية المملكة 2030.
The Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of the Cultural Fund, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, witnessed the signing of the fund during the Cultural Investment Conference, organized by the Ministry of Culture at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. This agreement establishes the second private investment fund in the film sector in the Kingdom, with a capital of 375 million riyals managed by PSF Capital, and a contribution from the Cultural Fund as a main investor, in collaboration with leading global film production companies.
The fund aims to enhance investments in the film sector and expand its horizons both locally and globally, targeting investment in quality and innovative facilities and projects in the film sector within and outside the Kingdom; including facilities involved in film production and distribution, and developing the sector's infrastructure, in accordance with the best global practices in asset and risk management.
This fund is the second investment fund in the film sector in which the Cultural Fund participates as a main investor, following the Riviera Content fund - formerly the Saudi Film Fund; thus bringing the total size of the two funds to 750 million riyals, which reflects the attractiveness of Saudi cinema and the promising investment opportunities it possesses.
The contribution of the Cultural Fund to this investment embodies its role as a center for excellence and financial empowerment for the cultural sector, by innovating financial solutions that enhance the sustainable economic and social growth of the sector and stimulate investment in it, in alignment with the National Culture Strategy under the umbrella of Vision 2030.
