روى رئيس تحرير صحيفة السياسة الكويتية أحمد الجارالله تفاصيل محاولة اغتياله عام 1985، مؤكداً أن صحيفة «السياسة» كانت تنشر كل شيء بخلاف «الشتيمة».
وأوضح «الجارالله»، في لقاء على قناة «العربية»، بأنه كان ينتقد ثلاثة من رؤساء الدول وهم القذافي وحافظ الأسد والخميني، وكان ينشر أخباراً «مزعجة» بالنسبة لهم، لافتاً إلى أنهم كانوا يدربون أشخاصاً على عمليات قتل في إحدى المناطق بالشام.
وأضاف: «أحد الأشخاص حاول قتلي، عندما نزلت من مكتبي فوجئت به يقف بسيارته أمامي وينزل ومعه كلاشنكوف وبه 32 رصاصة وأصبت بـ6 رصاصات منها كسرت عظامي، ولكن الله نجاني».
Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Siyasa's editor-in-chief Ahmad Al-Jarallah recounted the details of his assassination attempt in 1985, confirming that the newspaper "Al-Siyasa" published everything except for "insults."
Al-Jarallah explained, in an interview on Al-Arabiya channel, that he was criticizing three heads of state: Qaddafi, Hafez al-Assad, and Khomeini, and was publishing "disturbing" news for them, noting that they were training individuals for assassination operations in one of the areas in the Levant.
He added: "One person tried to kill me; when I came down from my office, I was surprised to see him standing in his car in front of me, getting out with an AK-47 that had 32 bullets. I was hit by 6 bullets, which broke my bones, but God saved me."
