أطلقت وزارة الثقافة اليوم منحةَ «أبحاث العلاقات الثقافية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية الصين الشعبية» ضمن مبادرة العام الثقافي السعودي الصيني 2025؛ لتشجيع الباحثين والأكاديميين على تقديم بحوثٍ علميةٍ حول العلاقات السعودية -الصينية في جوانبها الثقافية، وتعزيز المجالات العلمية والبحثية في العلاقات الثقافية، وترسيخها على أسسٍ معرفية متينة تدعم مسارات التعاون المستقبلي.
وتُغطي المنحة خمسة مجالاتٍ بحثية، أولها: «التاريخ والتراث الثقافي» المعني بدراسة الروابط التاريخية والثقافية بين الحضارتين، ويستعرض المسارات التي تلاقت فيها الثقافتان عبر العصور، إلى جانب تاريخ التبادل الثقافي بين المملكة والصين، ومقارنة الموروث الثقافي غير المادي بما في ذلك الحِرف التقليدية، والعمارة، والعادات الاجتماعية، وثانيها: مجال «الفنون الأدائية والبصرية»، الذي يستكشف مجالات التعاون في الفنون الأدائية، والمسرح، والموسيقى، إضافة إلى الفنون البصرية المعاصرة، والسينما، متضمنًا دراسة أوجه التشابه والاختلاف بين الفنون في كلا البلدين، مع تحليل تأثير الأنماط الفنية الصينية على بعض أشكال الفن السعودي المعاصر، والعكس.
وأما المجال الثالث «الأدب والترجمة» فيُركّز على تحليل حركة الترجمة المتبادلة بين اللغتين العربية والصينية، واستكشاف الفروقات اللغوية والثقافية، ومقارنة الموضوعات الأدبية المشتركة، فضلًا عن دراسة مكانة اللغة العربية في المؤسسات التعليمية الصينية، والحضور الأكاديمي للغة الصينية في المدارس والجامعات السعودية.
والمجال الرابع: «الاقتصاد الثقافي والصناعات الإبداعية» لتحليل فرص الاستثمار الثقافي المشترك بين المملكة والصين في مجالاتٍ مثل المعارض الفنية، والتصميم، والإنتاج السينمائي، ويتناول كذلك الشراكات بين المؤسسات الثقافية، وتقييم فرص الاستثمار في الصناعات الإبداعية.
والمجال الخامس: «دور المنصات الرقمية في التبادل الثقافي المعاصر»، الذي يبحث التفاعل الثقافي بين البلدين عبر المنصات الرقمية، وتطبيقات التواصل الاجتماعي، كما يتناول مظاهر تأثير الرقمنة على قطاعات الثقافة في كلا البلدين، إضافة إلى دور التكنولوجيا في تيسير التبادل الثقافي، وإبراز التحولات التي تشهدها العلاقات الثقافية في العصر الرقمي.
وتهدف وزارة الثقافة من خلال هذه المنحة إلى إنتاج أبحاث تسلط الضوء على العلاقات الثقافية بين المملكة والصين، وإثراء المحتوى العلمي في مجالات العلاقات الثقافية الثنائية، إضافة إلى تشجيع الحوار الأكاديمي والثقافي، وتأكيد العلاقات الثقافية الثنائية عبر تبادل المعرفة، ودعم نشر أبحاث علمية في مجال العلاقات الثقافية السعودية الصينية.
وتعكس حِرص وزارة الثقافة على توطيد التبادل الثقافي الدولي بوصفه أحد أهداف الإستراتيجية الوطنية للثقافة، تحت مظلة رؤية المملكة 2030.

The Ministry of Culture today launched the grant for "Research on Cultural Relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China" as part of the Saudi-Chinese Cultural Year Initiative 2025; to encourage researchers and academics to present scientific research on Saudi-Chinese relations in their cultural aspects, enhance scientific and research fields in cultural relations, and establish them on solid knowledge bases that support future cooperation pathways.
The grant covers five research areas, the first of which is: "History and Cultural Heritage," which focuses on studying the historical and cultural links between the two civilizations, reviewing the pathways where the two cultures intersected throughout the ages, alongside the history of cultural exchange between the Kingdom and China, and comparing the intangible cultural heritage including traditional crafts, architecture, and social customs. The second area is "Performing and Visual Arts," which explores areas of cooperation in performing arts, theater, music, in addition to contemporary visual arts and cinema, including a study of the similarities and differences between the arts in both countries, with an analysis of the influence of Chinese artistic styles on some forms of contemporary Saudi art, and vice versa.
The third area, "Literature and Translation," focuses on analyzing the movement of mutual translation between the Arabic and Chinese languages, exploring linguistic and cultural differences, and comparing common literary themes, in addition to studying the status of the Arabic language in Chinese educational institutions, and the academic presence of the Chinese language in Saudi schools and universities.
The fourth area is "Cultural Economy and Creative Industries," aimed at analyzing opportunities for joint cultural investment between the Kingdom and China in fields such as art exhibitions, design, and film production. It also addresses partnerships between cultural institutions and evaluates investment opportunities in creative industries.
The fifth area is "The Role of Digital Platforms in Contemporary Cultural Exchange," which examines cultural interaction between the two countries through digital platforms and social media applications. It also discusses the impact of digitization on the cultural sectors in both countries, in addition to the role of technology in facilitating cultural exchange, and highlighting the transformations occurring in cultural relations in the digital age.
The Ministry of Culture aims through this grant to produce research that highlights the cultural relations between the Kingdom and China, enrich the scientific content in the fields of bilateral cultural relations, encourage academic and cultural dialogue, and affirm bilateral cultural relations through knowledge exchange, and support the publication of scientific research in the field of Saudi-Chinese cultural relations.
This reflects the Ministry of Culture's commitment to strengthening international cultural exchange as one of the objectives of the National Culture Strategy, under the umbrella of Vision 2030.
