تحول حفل زفاف في بعلبك، شرقي لبنان، إلى فاجعة مؤلمة مساء الأحد، بعد مشاجرة مسلحة أسفرت عن مقتل شخصين وإصابة آخرين.
وذكرت الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام «الرسمية» أن خلافاً اندلع بين شابين في حفل زفاف في بلدة بوادي، إثر اعتراض العريس على مشاركة أحد الحضور وصلة رقص مع العروس.
وأوضحت أن الخلاف تطور إلى إطلاق نار متبادل أسفر عن مقتل شخصين، وإصابة عدد من الأشخاص بجروح متفاوتة نُقلوا على إثرها إلى المستشفى.
ولفتت إلى أن الجيش اللبناني تحرك سريعاً لموقع الحادث، وفرض طوقاً أمنياً حول المكان والمستشفيات التي استقبلت المصابين، فيما بدأت عمليات ملاحقة للمسلحين المتورطين في الاشتباك.
وأثارت الحادثة حزناً كبيراً في البلدة ومحافظة بعلبك، ودعوات متكررة لوضع حد لفوضى السلاح، ومحاسبة المتسببين.
A wedding ceremony in Baalbek, eastern Lebanon, turned into a painful tragedy on Sunday evening after an armed altercation resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to others.
The National News Agency, the official agency, reported that a dispute broke out between two young men at the wedding in the town of Bwadi, following the groom's objection to one of the attendees dancing with the bride.
It clarified that the disagreement escalated into mutual gunfire, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to several others, who were subsequently transported to the hospital.
It noted that the Lebanese Army quickly moved to the scene of the incident, establishing a security cordon around the area and the hospitals that received the injured, while operations began to pursue the armed individuals involved in the clash.
The incident has sparked great sorrow in the town and Baalbek Governorate, along with repeated calls to put an end to the chaos of weapons and hold those responsible accountable.
