شهد المؤتمر الدولي الأول لدعم التعليم والتدريب والرعاية لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة تكريم الأديب والكاتب السعودي الدكتور عبدالله غريب وسط حضور عربي ودولي، تقديراً لإسهاماته الأدبية والإعلامية في خدمة قضايا ذوي الهمم، وتسليط الضوء على حقوقهم الإنسانية والاجتماعية.
التمكين واجب أخلاقي
وجاء التكريم خلال جلسات المؤتمر المنعقد تحت شعار «نحو مستقبل أكثر شمولاً وإنسانية»، وعبر المنظمون عن اعتزازهم بمشاركة الدكتور غريب التي وُصفت بالمميزة لما حملته من رسائل تؤكد أن تمكين ذوي الهمم واجب إنساني وأخلاقي.
شركاء صناعة المستقبل
وأكد الدكتور عبدالله غريب في كلمته، أن المؤتمر يمثل منصة إنسانية تعكس وعي المجتمعات العربية بضرورة إشراك ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة في صناعة المستقبل، مشيراً إلى أن تلاقي الجهود الأكاديمية والإعلامية هو الطريق الأهم لبناء واقع أكثر عدلاً وشمولاً.
وأوضح غريب أن التكريم يعكس حرص المنظمين على إبراز النماذج الداعمة لقضايا الإنسانية، ويمنح دافعاً لمواصلة العمل المشترك من أجل بناء مجتمع أكثر احتواءً وإنصافاً.
The first international conference to support education, training, and care for individuals with disabilities witnessed the honoring of Saudi writer and author Dr. Abdullah Gharib in the presence of an Arab and international audience, in recognition of his literary and media contributions to the issues of people with determination, and to highlight their human and social rights.
Empowerment is a Moral Duty
The honoring took place during the sessions of the conference held under the slogan "Towards a More Inclusive and Humane Future," and the organizers expressed their pride in Dr. Gharib's participation, which was described as exceptional for the messages it carried, affirming that empowering individuals with determination is a human and moral duty.

Dr. Abdullah Gharib emphasized in his speech that the conference represents a humanitarian platform that reflects the awareness of Arab societies about the necessity of involving individuals with disabilities in shaping the future, pointing out that the convergence of academic and media efforts is the most important path to building a more just and inclusive reality.
Gharib clarified that the honoring reflects the organizers' commitment to highlighting supportive models for humanitarian issues and provides motivation to continue joint efforts to build a more inclusive and equitable society.
